Prayer Requests

We wanted to create an area on the website where people could leave their prayer requests so others may pray for those in need.

MUCH NEEDED PRAYERS IF YOU PLEASE. THIS IS FOR A DIFFERENT TYPE OF NEED, NOT MEDICAL. FOR THE MANY OF YOU THAT HAVE VISITED THE BEAUTIFUL SYLVAN SPRINGS, YOU WILL NOTICE THAT LARRY DEMANDS A WONDERFUL LOOK ABOUT THE PLACE. LAST YEAR HE WAS KIND ENOUGH TO GIVE MY SON MACK A SUMMER JOB, AND HE CONTINUES ON THIS YEAR HELPING LARRY DO WHAT HE NEEDS. NOT TO BRAG, BUT HE IS A WONDERFUL 18 YEAR OLD BRIGHT BOY WHO IS THRILLED TO BE PART OF EVERYTHING THAT IS GOING ON AT THIS WONDERFUL PLACE, HE JUST SAID THE OTHER DAY, JUST THINK MOM, IF I WOULD HAVE NEVER GOTTEN THIS JOB, WE WOULD HAVE NEVER KNOW ALL OF THIS, I HOPE I GET TO WORK HERE FOR A LONG TIME. HERE IS OUR DELIMA. HE WAS ON THE WAY HOME FROM A SIMPLE TENNIS MATCH WITH HIS BEST FRIEND. HE WAS ON HIS MOTORCYLCE, TRAVELING DOWN NORTHPORT ROAD, AND WAS NOT AWARE THAT HE HAD A TAIL LIGHT OUT. THIS WAS MEMORIAL DAY NIGHT, AND HE CAME UPON A TRUCK THAT HE THOUGHT WAS DRUNK, SO H SWEARVED TO GET OUT OF THE WAY. HE THEN SAW LIGHTS, AND THOUGHT THE TRUCK WAS CHASING HIM BECAUSE HE WAS MAD, SO HE WENT A LITTLE FASTER. APPARENTLY IT WAS THE POLICE, BUT HE NEVER HAD ANY CLUE. HE NEVER SAW POLIC LIGHTS, OR HEARD A SIREN. WE LIVE APPROXIMATELY THREE MILES DOWN FROM SYLVAN SPRINGS, AND MACK WAS JUST IN FRONT OF OUR DRIVEWAY, WHEN HE FINALLY NOTICED POLICE LIGHTS. HE PULLED OVER AS WE ALL DO FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLES TO GET OUR OF THE WAY AND WHEN HE DID THE OFFICER CAME TO SCREECHING HALT, AND ORDERED MACK ON THE GROUND AT GUN POINT FOR OVER A HALF HOUR, ALL THIS TIME HE WAS NOT ALLOWED TO SPEAK AND HAD NO IDEA WHY HE WAS THERE. HE WAS JUST ORDERED TO LAY THERE WITH ALL OF HIS PROTECTIVE GEAR AND HELMET ON UNTIL OTHER STATE OFFICERS, AND COUNTY UNITS ARRIVED. AFTER HE WAS SEARCHED, AND THE FOUND"nothing", THEYSTILL CUFFED HIM, READ HIM HIS RIGHTS AND TOOK HIM TO JAIL, AND THEN TOLD HIM WHILE HE WAS ON THE WAY THAT HE WAS BEING ARRESTED FOR WRECKLESS DRIVING, AND FELONLY RESISTING LAWENFORCEMENT WITH A VEHICLE. WE BONDED HIM OUT, AND NOW WE HAVE HIRED LEGAL HELP. THE HARDEST PART OF THIS IS I AM A CONFINEMENT OFFICER FOR OUR LOCAL JAIL WHERE HE WAS BROUGHT. HE IS TRULY AN INNOCENT YOUNG MAN, AND IS STUCK IN A TERRIBLE SITUATION. I WORK WITH PRISONERS EVERY DAY, AND I KNOW THAT MY SON IS NOT A CRIMINAL, HOWEVER THERE IS A PROSECUTOR, AND JUDGE WHO READ THE REPORT THAT THE OFFICER HAS WRITTEN, AND THEY HAVE A JOB TO DO. I HAVE NEVRY SAID SO MANY ROSARYS. AND I HAVE BEEN TO THE HILL A FEW TIMES TO POUR MY HEART OUT. HE HAS AN ATTORNEY APPOINTMENT THE 11TH, AND HIS NEXT TRIAL DATE IS THE 17. IF HE IS CONVICTD HIS WHOLE FUTURE WILL BE DISASTEROUS. HE HAS SEVERAL SCHOLARSHIPS THAT HE WILL LOSE. HE IS PLANNING ON ATTENDING BALL STATE IN THE FALL FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS, AND HE GRADATED 8TH IN HIS CLASS. THERE ARE NOT TOO MANY "MACKS" IN THE WORLD, AND I AM VERY PROUD TO CALL HIM MY SON. I BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF PRAYER, AND THE MORE THE BETTER, SO IF ANY OF YOU HAD AN EXTRA PRAYER IN YOUR HEARTS ON THE 11TH, AND ESPECAILLY ON THE 17TH AT 1:30 PM WE WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT, AND WE WILL RETURN THE FAVOR OF YOUR PRAYER REQUEST. I AM BEGGING OUR MOTHER MARY TO BRING HER ARMY AND BE BY HIS SIDE IN THAT COURT ROOM, BUT MAYBE IF YOU ALL ASK HER TOO, SHE WILL CERTAINLY SHOW UP. I WILL DEFIENETLY SEE YOU AT THE ROSARY THIS FRIDAY, I MAY BE A LITTLE LATE BECAUSE I HAVE TO WORK, BUT I WANT TO SEE IF I CAN TAKE OFF A LITTLE EARLY. MACK WILL BE THERE TOO. I HAVE ANOTHER MORE ENCOURAGING STORY ABOUT THE GOOD FRIDAY WELL WITH MY MOTHER WHO IS 86, BUT I WILL SAVE THAT FOR LATER SINCE THIS HAS BEEN SO LONG. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU THIS FRIDAY, AND MEET SO MANY OF THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE I AM READING ABOUT. SEE YOU FRIDAY, ANGIE

For all of this silliness and bickering between Fostoria and Indianapolis "official" sites to be ended.

For the continued success of Our Lady The Immaculate Virgin and the work of the people in Rome City to educate visitors to the real truths of Our Lady of America that is not reported on the "official" sites.

For my 8 yr. old great-nephew Brenden. He had a CT head (for recurring headaches) that showed a LARGE cyst at the back of his brain (not malignant). Has appt. with pediatric neurosurgeons/neurologists on 4/4 to determine options (surgery). He is a very sweet little guy, very caring and exceptionally smart. His mom (a super lady)is asking for prayers and has set up a website for him. He loves to journal, and see how many people are visiting his website. It is caringbridge.org/visit/superbrenden08.

Thanks,
pam j

For Alex, a 16 year old struggling with Faith, self esteem and being a teenager. That he can accept Jesus fully into his heart and understand and utilize his potential. That he can make the most of his education, athletic ability and self acceptance and never give up on himself.

For Lynn and her family as they grieve the loss of a loved one. For my sister and father to open their hearts and minds to the love that Christ wants to give them. For my mom as she prepares her testimony. For my son Michael to grow up knowing how much Jesus loves him. For my own insecurities and for my heart to continue to open and love.

Please pray for my husband, Greg, that he can have a healing of his tumors in his lungs. The doctors have given up on him and have sent him home to die.Two weeks ago he was cancer-free, and right after our baptism/confirmation cerimony he had a relapse. God gave him a healing when we attended the healing cerimony at the shrine in Cary, Ohio. I believe the devil brought back his tumors to try and stop us joining the church. So if God healed him once, he can do it again. Your shrine is closer to home, so he may have the strength to visit it. Please open my two daughter's hearts, so the holy spirit can come in and they will want to become catholic.
