What a beautiful picture, I had only seen the black and white photo before. What a stunning image! How magnificent it would be if the chapel was restored and the holy ground was preserved. Thanks for a great Mother's Day!
it really is gorgeous. I hope others will join me in helping to restore it to the way it was when OLA first appeared and gave Her central messages.
If you have never been there, you should give yourself a treat and bring your family. You will not believe how serene and wondrous it is just being there.
I have always said that this was the only "official" site with OLA.
Why else would Our Lady choose this place to announce Herself?
It is beautiful yet humble. Just like Our Lady?
What happened to the For Sale sign? Is the property sold?
I was at Sylvan Springs this weekend to get water and noticed the for sale signs have been taken down along the highway. I have no idea who bought it or if it was just taken off the market.
It is one of the most peaceful and inspirational places I have ever been with my family.
Yes, what is the future of this property - who will own it? This would be nice to know if we are going to be making donations for major repairs. What if future owners do something else with it as was done in the past?
I called and the property is not for sale. Pilgrims are still quite welcome to visit and the rosary has never stopped.
They said nothing has changed as far as its use and they plan to expand now. This is very good news.
So who put the funds into the property so it could survive "as is"? I mean, Larry said he couldn't manage the upkeep and was maybe going to have to sell to any interested party. If they are "expanding" some great donor must have come on the scene. I think the public who is asked to donate has the right to know.

This is great news! I was fortunate enough to travel to Rome City on May 1st to 3rd, with my husband, mother and 2 friends, and I can attest to the serenity you feel from the moment you are on the property. We were able to attend the Friday night rosary, and all of us saw the sun spinning before AND after the rosary. Our Lady is waiting to give us all gifts there.
For myself, I never imagined I could feel even more blessed than the first time we went there last summer. The gifts of the Holy Spirit abound!
Anon-
have you ever been to Rome City yourself?
I heard someone from Fostoria's group has joined in an attempt to take it all over because their credibility is gone.
The folks with OLTIV have been doing wonderful work along with their very generous volunteers.
If you have ever been to Rome City, you know that there is a lot of real estate that they keep maintained for our benefit and they bend over backwards to make visitors feel very welcome.
Last year, they asked for help with getting a golf cart for visitors like me who cannot walk very far. With help, they were able to find a very nice used machine. I know thay can use several more because of the amount of visitors they receive.
I wish I had more money to give them for the restoration of the chapel. I know if anybody can get it done, they can. However they need our help. Please give if you can. I did and I got a tax letter and receipt immediately for my records.
thank you for caring enough to support such a worthy cause for Our Blessed Mother.
I am sure Our Lady is very pleased with the Young family and all the volunteers doing her bidding and all the work that has been done to keep this place alive and well.
This Chapel is beautiful, but with the restoration, I can only imagine how wonderful it will look. I can't wait to come back and see the finished project.
Our Lady is smiling on all those that can help in the restoration process through the sharing of their meager funds and also lifting up their prayers so this may be a reality for all to see in the near future.
The sense of peace and tranquility felt at the Springs cannot compare to anyplace else I have ever been to.
God will reward you immensely for taking care of His and His Mother's House!
