Where Did We Go So Wrong?
Spring is in the air and a new batch of high schoolers will be graduating soon. That means it is "prank" season.
The staff at this school felt these kids had to be "made an example of to the rest of the student body" so their "bad example" would not be repeated. This statement was made by the same staff who has fought vigorously to supply FREE condoms to students without parental consent.
Apparently endorsing teen sex is not viewed by our school administrators as setting a bad example but celebrating class spirit by having a gorilla chasing a pack of tennis-shoed bananas is.
Something is terribly wrong here.

I laughed so hard when I saw this. I think the school was way out of line in suspending these kids for so long. All they did was make them into folklore heroes. Getting suspended will be one of this "bunch's" fondest memories.

Funniest senior prank I've ever seen.
This just shows how far we have drifted from being real people when a stunt like this is regarded to be as dangerous as terrorists.
We cannot allow ourselves, as a society, to live in fear. These kids were bringing joy and hilarity to classmates who will always remember where they were when the bunch of bananas were chased by the gorilla in their school.

Simple solution: Why don't the millionaires who want to take over OLOA simply buy Rome City spot?
Wouldn't that be better than spending lots of money suing people who have nothing?
Likewise, why don't the "backers" of the Fostoria nun (?) pony-up the cash?

I think the main goal right now is the future since time appears to be getting short (especially if certain persons take over the Presidency) - and that should be Blessed Mother's goal for the Basilica in Washington, D.C. Too much time, money and emphasis being spent on other things that some feel should take place first, obscuring God's own purpose to reach all of America through its Mother's Basilica. Then all should fall into place for everywhere else in the history. Makes sense to me. God's "sense" always does!
Anyway, looks now that nothing can be done without passing through the Bishop of Toledo whom the Bishops apparently have now made THE Bishop for this cause.
I agree more with Glenn than Anonymous. More has been reported happening in Rome City than at The Basilica. Our Lady obviously chose to announce Herself in Rome City for some reason beyond what was simply reported in Sr. Neuzil's messages.
Go with the evidence.
So then, J.W., Our Lady's messages, which this is all about, BTW, point to everyone pilgrimaging and gaining those promised graces at Rome City and NOT her Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.?? Odd that most people don't read them that way. Again, the emphasis of our prayers should be to what Our Lady has outlined for America in these messages. As was said before...only then will all the rest fall in line and have its proper place. Otherwise we are simply in disobedience and there doesn't seem to be very much moving at all due to such disobedience, interference and mis-direction.
But then, as God writes with crooked lines...something good has materialized due to our human nature's usual blunders...and that is a (finally) centralizing of authority for this cause in the Bishop of Toledo. May we all pray for his wisdom, humility, and guidance through the Holy Spirit for God's will to be done.

I'm not looking for a beef with anybody, but I think you missed my point.
Some mortal man chose the location to build the National Basilica where it is.
Our Lady of America chose Rome City...to make, among other requests, that same request you specify...for a particular reason that may be part of Her bigger plan for America. She may/may not have said anything to Sister Neuzil about Her future plans (I used to have a boss who didn't tell me EVERYTHING the company was doing because it did not pertain to my area of expertise) because it wasn't going to be part of her role in this....I'm just throwing that out there.
I personally feel the act of enthronement must come from the collective assembly of Bishops rather than at the hand of a singular Bishop, although I'll gladly accept that path, because of the symbol of unity and love it will represent for ALL of America.
I remember something one of the guides told us when we toured the property "Our Lady asked not just to be placed in the National Basilica. She asked to be placed there after the Bishops carry Her in solemn procession. She did not necessarily say 'get me in there any way you can'." She wants to be properly acknowledged as Our Lady of America and she wants the children of America to lead the world by the purity of their lives.
All one needs to do is read the many testimonials, on this site and elsewhere, from the many children who have been healed or experienced life-changing spiritual conversions after visiting Rome City over the years to believe in the vitally important role of this facility in Our Lady of America's devotional development. After all, the Our Lady of Lourdes devotion began by pilgrims visiting a garbage dump to pray, not an elaborate structure as it is today.
She needs a place to get people to believe in her and come to know Her request with purity in their hearts. Historically, the actual locations of the central apparitions become major pilgrimage destinations for the faithful.
I'm going to trust Her judgement on this while I wait for the Bishops, any or all, to do what needs to be done, but done properly as She requested.

Well, I wouldn't exactly measure God's plans in this great movement for America as leaving it up to a "mortal man's" choice for THE location of OLOA's image...esp. when the chosen place seems now obvious in order to stress America, the country's, great mission for the world. All was certainly guided, in my book. And we are all certainly necessary, as mortal beings, for heaven to work through...but it's heaven's plan that we are cooperating with whether we realize it or not. If we get to thinking that its greatness is due to our limited personal choices alone we're in for correction. That's for sure.
In the historical apparitions that you mention Our Lady designated where she wanted to have her shrine (s) built or chapel built, etc. and for what purpose...just as she has in this mission for America which really involves her image and its placement/recognition/pilgrimages more than anything else. And of course she has appeared here in more than one place. And, as was said before, along with the movement towards that end goal in Washington, D.C. there will be a greater awareness of the complete history of the messages and so more people will also become more aware of Rome City, etc.
So I think the Bishop chosen for the authority over this cause must also be in God's plan. The other Bishops defer now to him when questioned and wish to cooperate with him. Perhaps it can finally get on track with the humility and deep roots within the hearts of its followers as Bishop Leibold hoped for and warned about. Sr. Mildred was admonished by the Bishop never to give into force of the cause by any particular powerful group as you so correctly said: She did not necessarily say 'get me in there any way you can'." Humility and obedience is the only way for graces to be realized.
So I'll wait and see just what the Bishop of Toledo does next. I guess we're all waiting for that. I would assume that he wants unity/love/respect and not division of the faithful because that is what Our Mother always wants for her children. I think we're on the same page in that.

I wish that Bishop would get on with it. There's people to heal and souls to save and families needing to make God their main desire.
