Our Lady the Immaculate Virgin
The Friday Night Rosary begins at 6:30 pm. Free Tours are available beginning at 4:00 pm every Friday. Impromptu rosaries are started and recited by visitors all throughout the weekend on Holy Family Hill. Everyone is welcome to join in.
Our Lady the Immaculate Virgin, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to support Our Lady's request to have her likeness, as Our Lady of America, placed in the National Shrine to The Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. and to support the preservation of the Holy Ground in Rome City, IN where the central messages of Our Lady of America were given and this special devotion began. OLTIV, Inc. claims no affiliation with any other group or website promoting this cause.
“In cases which concern private revelations, it is better to believe than not to believe, for if you believe and it is proven true, you will be happy that you believed, because our Holy Mother asked it of you. If you believed and it should be proven false, you will receive all the blessings as if it has been true, because you believed it to be true.” Pope Urban VIII
"What can be concluded canonically is that the devotion was both approved by
Archbishop Leibold and, what is more, was actively promoted by him. In addition, over
the years, other Bishops have approved the devotion and have participated in public
devotion to the Mother of God, under the title of Our Lady of America."

I, as some other people I know, have never received the Host in the hand. I did not know it was not authorized by the church, I just always felt it was very non-humbling, and that the only person touching the Host should be the consecrated hands of the priest. Sorry, but I do not even receive from a Eucharistic Minister. I don't know what they have to go through to become one, I was asked once and said no thank you, but I am not comfortable receiving the Host from anyone but a priest who has touched Jesus with his consecrated hands, and I always change lines during communion to receive that way. I genuflect and make the Sign of the Cross before receiving, but in order not to hold up the line I start my genuflect as the person in front of me is receiving the Host. By the time the priest is holding up the Host for me I am making the sign of the Cross and rising to my feet. I have never been asked not to do that, and my answer to those who ask me why I receive that way is I feel it is in humble respect to the Host with as close as to the same reverence I was taught during Vatican I. This is in no way a slam against Vatican II. I think many good things have come out of it. But receiving in the hand was not okay-ed by Vatican II and if being in church an extra 15 minutes so all receiving Jesus can do it with humility and respect, I praise God for that.
By this acknowledgement I am not saying it is wrong to receive in the hand or by a Eucharistic Minister. I pass no judgement on those that do. I know the shortage of priests and the laws of only having to go to confession once a year have caused almost everyone in the church to receive the Eucharist regularly. That being said it is no wonder we have been receiving in the hand and receiving from lay people brought in by the priest. Again I am not saying that is right or wrong, but for me it can never be, and never will be.
Pray to the Holy Spirit for discernment on how you receive the Son of God every Sunday.
God bless!!
Now if only the churches would bring back the beautiful Communion rails of days past, and truly show the Lord the reverence He deserves.
Many of the ladies in my church have already reverted back to wearing the pretty veils as a sign of submission to Our Lord and Savior.
Yes Communion on the tongue, the only way to receive the Blessed Body of our Beloved Son!
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, hear our prayers...

The Blessed Mother told me to "receive only on the tongue". So I obviously agree with the above post.
In a very famous interview with Mother Teresa, Fr. Rutler asked her, "What's the worst problem in the world today?"
She responded, "Communion in the hand."
