OLA and Rome City...The Heart of The United States

If you MapQuest Rome City, IN and widen the view, Rome City, IN is, literally, right in the middle of The United States of America. Is this just coincidence or is this a consequence of Our Lady's own desire for Her children to come to her in Rome City, IN?

Rome City - Sylvan Springs the most beautiful, serene and peaceful place I have ever been to. The minute you step on the grounds, you literally feel the Holiness surround you head to toe.

A sense of well-being envelopes you and when you leave, this sense of presence goes with you. You feel blessed to have been in Our Lady's Garden.

Why go anywhere else, when you have this wonderous place right here in the USA.

Pray the Rosary, and really LISTEN to your heart and soul as graces start to flow.

Our Lady chose this specific spot for good reason. Good reason maybe known only to Herself.

She knew Sister Millie would not have had the means or the functional capacity to do the work of saving this place of wonders. That is why She called upon the heart of Larry and his family to step in when they did. I heartily applaud them for their steadfast resilience in the wake of these emotional storms of late.

I pray that the help they are so desperately seeking to forever save this site for all of us comes soon. Spring will be upon us shortly and The Holy Family will be awaiting all of Her children on Holy Family Hill.

If Sr. Joseph Therese has "been in control" all along and these other folks were just "volunteers", why was the statue that they took all over the country last year and that adorns their prayer cards no good.

Heaven help us all if she has them build the new statue to look like her old metal statues she was selling. That was NOT a good thing.

I think having an all-white image is scary and unapproachable.

I like the current statue just fine.

The now traveling statue/colored is the pilgrim statue - a likeness but not to the exact specifications given to Sr. Mildred. The previous statue likeness which was enthroned in Hanceville and taken on the youth days was mostly white and not as earthy in appearance compared to the now traveling (but in repair) likeness.

The traveling image is not to the specifications either of the Basilica requirements....which is usually white marble. The traveling one was made to use mostly for introduction and education purposes. So the smaller images that will be provided of that image would not be to the specifications of Sr. Mildred. Apparently there will be offered smaller statues of the exactly specified one on the ave site. Got that???!!! Whew!

just for clarification purposes why and how can the website run by the Langenskamp family be the official website should it not be the website run by the nun who lived with the seer.

I'd sure like to have a peek at the books at the Fostoria center to see just who paid for all those devotionals.

For the record, the old statue that was all white was not attractive at all. Why does it have to be white when the drawing Sr. Millie did herself was in color? Doesn't sound right.

Also, just because you lived with someone doesn't mean your best equipped to do a job like this. If you ask me, she has done a very poor job these past 8 years since Sr. Millie died.

Her job was to get the message to the Bishops. Now that it is done, she doesn't trust the team that got it there?

If you would just take the time to actually read what was announced about the new statue it is said that it can either be white marble of the marble may be painted. And you would have to speak to those at the Basilica to see the artistic specifications that they have for what they accept.

Her job was to get the message to the Bishops. Now that it is done, she doesn't trust the team that got it there?

You are kidding? The bishops were acquainted with this history and its messages through massive volunteer mailings years ago. These fellows only built upon the hard work done by good, hard working people who obviously did not want the glory, but for Mary to receive it. It was the bishops who then wanted the faithful to become more familiar with this movement. It is with the bishops that Fostoria and Sister are continuing to work. These fellows volunteered only to help with the ongoing, but previous work done by so many - including popular websites, regional Catholic media, etc. The website was already established before they took it on. So now they simply claim it for their own designs, being there a couple of years when the Sister who took care of the seer/Sister Mildred in her illness, learning from her what Mary wanted of her and what was to be continued gets rolled over. Sister Mildred's spiritual advisor/Bishop Leibold upon whom the approval rests, warned of just what is now happening. He warned "against allowing high pressure from outside to persuade devotion to OLOA". Rather it was to grow deep roots through the Holy Spirit and not become some "passing fancy".

You can't beat the results the "volunteers" were able to achieve. If all these Bishops knew so much about it for so many years beforehand, why didn't they do anything to follow AB Leibold's lead. Why didn't the local Bishop in Fort Wayne know anything before the the property was salvaged by the Young's in 2000 (they certainly knew nothing of OLA beforehand either).

I think it is time to move on. Fostoria should join the rest of the faithful and pray. If not, I would expect to see some dramatic movement out of their organization. This does not belong to them. It belongs to all of us.

I say give all of those old volunteers who worked so hard years ago a big cookie. Then, tell them thank you for their help, and move on.

Everything changes. Just ask the cavemen who used to live near where you live. Oh, their gone? Well, what do you know? Now, YOU live where they used to? You can't do that. This is THEIR place.

Get real people. The Bishops can take it from here.

BTW: which bishops are supporting the Fostoria claims now and which are staying with the original?

I have never chimed in b4 on this site. What will you do if the Bishops do not join your efforts to make Fostoria the center of this effort?

What if Sr. Joseph Therese's claims of being an accredited religious are turned away by the bishops? Do you intend to stand by her no matter the declaration?

How can Fostoria be the original site if the actual apparitions this whole devotion is based upon took place in Rome City? I would say Rome City is the true site.

I find it interesting there is no mention of this fact anywhere on the Fostoria "official" site. If you aren't willing to admit ALL of the history in its entirety, I think you are only discrediting your efforts.

The rest of the arguments about having lived with Sr. Millie and having taken care of her in her old age are admirable but mean nothing when it comes to this matter. I don't see anything in the writings about all of this being handled after her death by this other woman.

Some years ago I saw where Sr. JT was being given the task of caring for these messages and getting them to the bishops---which is now done---nothing was ever mentioned about this devotion being micro-managed by Sr JT. Please do not keep your foot on the brakes of this growing movement by this childish act.

The "bishops" as a group have the mission to join in establishing the goal of Sr. Neuzil's (and by her own steps, Sr. Joseph's, through the entrustment of the cause with its/her written history of it by actually willing it to Sr. Joseph) in placing the image of Mary as Our Lady of America in the Basilica. Any places that have taken some part in that history fall under each's individual bishop's jurisdiction. Bishops don't step on the toes of their brother bishops. Rome City falls under its own bishop re: its individual status. Whoever owns what will still have to function religiously or sacramentally with the permission and guidance of the local bishop. And whatever one does to or takes from Sr. Joseph or Fostoria will have to be done under the bishop of Toledo. Now if you wish to create some kind of revolution or coup you won't do it simply on your own whims or desires or personal will.

What if Sr. Joseph Therese's claims of being an accredited religious are turned away by the bishops?

Again, Sr. Joseph as well, is under her individual bishop's jurisdiction. Your seeming judgment of Sr. Joseph would also place Sr. Neuzil, the seer herself, in the same status. In that you are willfully placing a cloud over the messenger's place for posterity which could place in doubt, in the minds of many, the veracity of all that she recorded for you. It is through their care that you have learned anything at all about this. Who wants to have the image of Our Lady of America with any mark at all of controversy surrounding Her, as is being created in this kind of wishful discrediting that has gone on here????

That would be correct. Once Sr. Neuzil left the Precious Blood, she was no longer part of a recognized religious order.

It does not matter if she was a nun or a dishwasher as the apparitions and messages stand on their own now that the bishops have given canon approval. What is at issue is the ongoing claims of Sr. Joseph Therese of being the head of a recognized religious order. Apparently no official records exist at the Vatican and the local chancery (Toledo) does not recognize their order either.

You can keep stating the same thing over and over and it doesn't change the facts.

Where are those claims???

To God's designs it certainly DOES matter for He does nothing without each part having its own significance. God certainly has His own intention in why he does something the way He does. And in this cause God chose to act through a nun within an order of the Most Precious Blood which has its own significance and later within an order of the Indwelling Trinity which also has its own significance. You may wish to slap God up the side of His face telling Him that your own plan is better, but He acted in a certain manner for this mission of His to proceed and it was responded to by the fiats of those individuals in which He placed His trust.

I think we are actually in agreement.

What I meant was it doesn't matter if a nun received these messages or a dishwasher was chosen to receive them. Why was Bernadette chosen? Why peasant children in Fatima? Why a good nun who chooses to leave a recognized order of religious several years after the messages were delivered?

It doesn't matter. The truth is the truth.

"Where are those claims???"

She calls herself "Sister".

This is an issue that needs to be clearly investigated. If her local bishop comes out and declares her to be recognized, end of story. We cannot have renegades in the Catholic Church at such a critical time.

Archbishop Burke is cleaning house in St. Louis and I would hope all the bishops around our country would do the same.

I'm sorry but with all due respect I don't believe we are in agreement here. Whenever one speaks to private revelation, specifically, one must, in truth, honor the way that God chooses for that particular revelation. Each has its own unique history. If God chooses someone in a particular lay vocation then there is meaning for us in that. If God, chooses a religious, or, most of the time, the humble, unsophisticated children, then we certainly include them in the entirety of that revelation's story. They are not simply dismissed. The fact that the children of Fatima had never heard of Russia, thinking it meant some woman, was very important to the message itself for its own veracity. If someone had later argued that they were somehow degraded in their status by the Church or by the faithful believers it would have tainted this history in the minds of the faithful. This is so because no one has to believe in private revelation - they are asked to discern with the information and fruit related to the revelation and they do so by including what has been claimed or said about the visionaries or their accepted place by the Church.

Something of great significance as well is the place of St. Joseph in these apparitions and the name of the sister left to continue the cause, Sister Joseph. As Michael Brown mentioned:

The revelation from Joseph ..... could well be the most important associated with this hidden saint and may indicate an era in which he will take a much larger role. It is the first time we know of that he too is described as a "co-redemptor" and seems to place that title in a new context.

St. Joseph said: "My heart suffered with the hearts of Jesus and Mary," said Joseph in 1956. "Mine was a silent suffering, for it was my special vocation to hide and shield, as long as God willed, the Virgin Mother and Son from the malice and hatred of men. "

This appears to also be the mission of Sr. Joseph in her protection of the purity of the messages and meaning to the cause.

I think it would be well for all people to read the history and the reasons for Sr. Neuzil's call to cloistered life and its disruption due to an order's movement away from community life, abandoning the cloister and thus forcing the cloistered sisters to find a place.

These two men and everyone knows who they are; originally thought they were going to get in on the Divine Will writings of Louisa Picceretta, of Carato Italy; but because they thought it was too difficult to get control of that after they left that conference in Italy; they realized they had to get into Our Lady of America; find out who Sister Joseph Therese was and her small circle of hard, humble ordinary people working volunteers.Because the Bishops never got behind this devotion publically, they used Archbishop Burke with all due respect because of his canon law degree asked him if he would validate something that was already valid canonically, and ran with that. Now this web site "uses" The Blessed Virgin Mary and allows people to disrespect a nun who took her vows back in 1963 and never disavowed her vocation. These two men now off the backs of other people take her web site away from her that was hers since 2001. Al Langsenkamp volunteered to run the web site for her, she trusted him and now he says it's his for the last two years after he insisted he would voluntarily pay for it. How trusting is that? Sister's only concern is that the messages stay intact and never get changed because time fades memory if your constantly changing prayer cards and removing the Trinity Prayer..etc...and other important facts which these men have done. What are the books going to say a year from now? What are they choosing to put on the back of the original prayer cards next? They knew from the beginning when they met sister that they were going to make it theirs. What gave them the right to do this? WHO ANOINTED THEM? The main bishops involved have wished everyone well but did not anoint these men and in a confirmed investigation the bishops that were called never asked these guys to do anything. They pushed their way through with other people's connections. Now they expect everyone to follow them. Mr. Dan Tacouve, Mr Al Langsenkamp, and Mr. Kevin Mc Carthy you all should be ashamed of yourself. By the way the BVM Foundation is recorded as a non operating foundation. Look it up on the web site CHARITY.org most of these foundations after SALERY have only to spend a certain amount of money on the real goal. (????) What is their goal? (????!!!!)It is a shame, not until two years ago Nov. 2005-Nov. 2007 did someone like these individuals who always addressed her as Sister Therese now call her Pat. Who would want to donate to their foundation knowing what they are capable of? Our Lady is Very Sad, this is a real shame but they are going to have to answer to God why they did this to Our Lady, only the devil comes in and divides, there was no division like this ever, before they got involved. They intimidate and threaten everyone, because Mr Langsenkamp, and Mr. Tacouve has money to do it with.

Let's all work to promote Our Lady's wishes and pray that Her requests be fulfilled regardless of geographical location, affiliation. I agree that the messages and information should remain pure - in their entirety. May you find peace, and may the Holy Spirit live in the hearts of All God's children.

May God Bless Us and Mary Keep Us...and God Bless Rome City.
