Merry Christmas From ATop Holy Family Hill

This beautiful Christmas card came to us from the Lucchesi family in Glen Ellyn, IL. It looks like the kids had a good time with The Holy Family.

This looks like more schism is going on with the "official" site. Anonymous sources, no individual associated with the domain name they've chosen.

This is just re-packaged old news in my book and they are doing all they can to distance themselves from the truth by erasing all mention of where these events all started and continue to manifest themselves...Rome City, IN.

I have been to Fostoria, OH where Sr. Mildred died and I can tell you that there is absolutely no feeling there like there is in Rome City, IN.

I agree with Andrea. A NEW "official" website?

I say, read the messages, follow the lead of Archbishop Burke, and be VERY careful of this Sr. Joseph Therese in Fostoria who owns all of the copyrights. I do not see this as progress if there is no disclosure as to WHO it is that is acting as the SOLE source of info.

This is way bigger than any one person now and it is up to us to demand these people reveal themselves if they wish to be taken seriously. FULL Transparency is required for the truth to be accepted.

If they were the REAL DEAL, why do they not use the old website name (which makes more sense than this Ave- domain name now).

I know nuns can be controlling. If you don't believe me, just ask anyone who has served on a school board with nuns as teachers. SOMETHING has happened and I think somebody may have just worn out their welcome with this Fostoria nun(?). She has done it before.

Unless those copyrights are released and Our Lady of America is finally loosed from her shackles, I will not send them another dime in any way, shape, or form.

I will continue to pray and visit the site of these apparitions so that I may be as close as I can to where it is Our Lady ACTUALLY revealed Herself as Our Lady of America.

I don't know what is going on, but the "new" official site a HUGE GIANT STEP backwards. I sure hope they do not kill the momentum created in the past two years.

Remember, it's For Our Lady.

Just because someone hands you the keys to their truck on their deathbed doesn't mean YOU are the best choice to drive the rig. Maybe you are supposed to find the right driverwho can get the job done right. It takes brains and humility to do the right thing.

The two men who did so much this past year were the right choice to drive this particular car. Anyone who does not recognize this fact doesn't have the spreading of this devotion as their primary focus.

You can't change a tiger's stripes. This woman is only looking out for her pocketbook.

THANK YOU TO THIS WEBSITE FOR HELPING TO SHED LIGHT ON THIS SUBJECT.

To Andrea,

I checked the registration for the "new" official website and the owner/contact for this domain is:

Lisa Johnston
3 Whitfield Lane
St. Louis, MO 63124
(314) 283-4500
lisa@aeternus.com

She also has a blogsite at www.aeternus.com

She discovered OLA when the "new" statue went to the St. Louis area and she featured it on her blog.

She just registered this domain on Dec 20, 2007. Let's hope she doesn't let the registration lapse like Sr. Joseph Therese did with the "original" official site she was "entrusted" with when Sr. Mildred passed away. That is why she no longer owns it.

I am totally against anyone "owning" these messages. This is not a Harry potter book. This is a blueprint for success in saving our world and ourselves. God does NOT place barriers in the way of those who wish to follow HIM more closely.

In my opinion, she should relinquish the ownership of ALL copyrights and trademarks she claims she is "protecting" to a holy priest beyond reproach on this subject. Maybe one of the bishops who is heading this confirmation process or EWTN? I just do not feel she has shown the capacity to accomplish what needs to be done as Our lady has requested.

Teams change quarterbacks all the time in an attempt to better their offense. Sometimes, a change in ownership is the only thing that makes things better.

I hope she and her group of supporters do not burn their bridges too soon and they work to mend the great error they have made. These messages and this devotion belong to the Universe of Faithful Believers.

"Before Sister Millie died she told Sister Joseph that she and she alone would be fighting for Our Lady of America"...what resource do you have for this comment! Why would Sr. Mildred do that when Our Lady foretold of the Sylvan Springs property purchase to a 40 year old businessman (Larry)? Sister Mildred also told other friends of this prophecy.

I think it is sad that the "new official site" has changed the message book to a new one with "excerpts". There is no mention of Our Lady's first appearance to Sr. Millie in the chapel, or of Rome City at all. Thankfully, we have oltiv.org., with the messages and full history of events preceding and following the apparitions and messages to Sr. Millie.

Our Lady asked Sr. Millie and all of us to spread this message, not fight for an official title. Thankfully, Larry and all those associated with oltiv.org. have stayed above the fray.

Even though the main focus is to spread the devotion and have the statue placed in D.C., Our Lady has asked that we bring Her children to the Springs. The accounts of visitors of the sun spinning, miraculous cures and conversions, breath taking miraculous photos, the Good Friday well, and the blue room exuding oil are a testament to
Our Lady's requests and promises. Above all, when you visit, you can feel the peace all around!

May God bless Larry and his wife, and give them the resources to continue the work at Rome City. May God bless all of those people who are spreading this devotion and informing others of the Springs.

And may God bless Bishop D'Arcy and Sr. Joseph Therese...may the Holy Spirit open their hearts to the truth, so that the messages (in their fullness) are spread to all, and so that the Sacraments may once again be available at the Springs.

Pound the Hill, and storm the heavens with prayer!

Dear Jesus, Mary and Joseph,

Please pray for all and stop this inter-fighting even within this blog.

This is exactly what Our Lady told me was happening and would continue to happen which would keep the Cause for Her at the Basilica at a distance!

Please stop everyone, we can still change this all, and pray for forgiveness for the grievances that are being shown to Our Lady with all of this disdain.

Peace and Purity of Love for Her Son is what She wants from us now. This is what She is asking for in any and all of the messages all seers have been given, though phrased in different ways.

"Gather Together My Bishops" That message was given to me by Our Lady to share with all of Her children. I did just that many times on this blog. So please let us allow Her Bishops now to handle and take care of this, please I beg you. Perhaps that is why that particular message was given over and over. Let us all come together in prayer and pull out of the fighting and allow Her Bishops to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit without interference. Our Lady will ask the Holy Spirit to guide Her sons to handle all of the necessary things needed to be done. She does not want
interference from us it is now in the hands of Her Bishops! All She needs from us now, is Prayer, Please!!

God bless and help us all!!

If the lady isn't a real nun, she should be honest and not masquerade in name or deed. Isn't that purity?

As for the rest of the bunch, I have been to a few events and it always seems that there are a bunch of "chiefs" and not enough indians in the crew.

I'm going to follow the lead of Archbishop Burke. I could care less who is the 'official" site.

I would like to see there be no copyrights on the messages and images. What's next? Cover charges for attending Mass?

I know my heart leads me to this special place. I feel Our Lady's presence here so strongly.

Stop with these anonymous comments. If you have something to say, stand behind it.

Whenever there is change, people panic. Gas prices, politics, new teacher in the middle of the school year, etc... Things have a way of working out. Most of the panic is generated by those who have no real knowledge of the facts involved and they are still basing their decisions on prejudicial memories of how things "were".

Fatima and Lourdes have a bazillion websites and nobody cares who is the "official" site. Anyone who cares who the "official" site is is just behaving childishly and is missing the big picture.

I have no idea what Kris and some of the others are harping about. What did these guys ("volunteers') do that was so bad?
They assembled more Bishops and got the most respected Canon lawyer in the USA to state this devotion is approved.

They got the new statue built and have been trucking it around the country and generating thousands of more devoted followers of this devotion.

They infused a certain amount of professionalism into this movement that was lacking in previous years.

WHAT did they do that was so bad?

It smells of a dominating controlling person that is causing a rift. Sometimes change is the only way to move forward.

Like "The Donald" said, we'll be looking for twice the production out of these two camps in the coming year. This country is in a spiritual crisis. Anyone who doesn't see that is plain ignorant and is part of the crisis themselves. The more hands we can get pulling this cart, the better.

What are you doing to be an "official" OLA supporter? How many people did you tell about OLA today?

What if this forum wasn't available for people to TRY to communicate?

I called the Diocese and they say she is NOT part of an accredited religious order. The local parish said the same thing. She is just a normal woman and not a nun.

ALL of this means NOTHING when it comes to the messages. For God's sake, this woman's claim of being a religious has NOTHING to do with the credibility of OLA or the works of the Holy Spirit going on in Rome City. It is obvious from her new website that she wants absolutely no connection with Rome City, the TRUE apparition site chosen by Our Lady to announce Herself as OLA.

Sometimes the truth is hard to digest, but it is for our own good.

Dear Anonymous-

Please show me where and how she is "under the Bishop" from Toledo when his office says it is NOT, and has NEVER been, a recognized order. Can she just be a Private Person who is taking orders form the Bishop? What about her spiritual director from Bloomington, Fr. Michael Gavreaux? Is he cast aside now too?

Three years ago, I did a search of Vatican records with the help of Cardinal Sodano's office (Vatican Sec of State under John Paul II), and there is NO RECORD of this order at the Vatican. I searched back to 1957. Maybe something changed since then? You would think there would have been some News about it if it happened.

That is also part of the problem here in that people care about who is the "official" site and who is not. Who cares? The messages are out there and have been made public on the internet. Good Job! Now, let the bishops do their thing...they certainly do not need her guidance in these matters...and let's move on.

I feel sorry for this woman, but I only seek the truth for the sake of everyone's benefit. The Catholic Church demands the truth be told.

Her status still means nothing in the discussion of whether or not these apapritions and attending messages are to be fully confirmed and OLA's likeness to be placed in the National Shrine.

If I am wrong, SHOW me evidence and the letter from the Toledo Bishop which says hers is a recognized order of religious. If my previous research, and that of others, is proven to be in error, I would be the first to admit my error and defend her.

Just my opinion.

Sr. Neuzil was a nun in good standing with the precious Blood when all these events happened.

The status of Sr. Joseph has absolutely no bearing in this discussion at all unless she wants to say she was a part of the messages as a receiver too.

First, she wanted to only sell the booklets of messages. Then, she puts them on the internet for free (as it should be). Now, she wants to sell them again. This is not the behavior of a credible person whose aim is to spread these messages to as many people as possible.

I'll keep going to Rome City and following the lead of the good shepherd from St. Louis.

If you were the least bit charitable in your assessment here you would know that Sister Joseph, a poor cloistered, had no way of paying for any large amount of printing of information in the beginning. It was only gradually, after filling orders for the small amounts of the most important information and receiving contributions when things became better known that she could afford to offer more. Come on. Be at least reasonable if not charitable! God will reward her struggles as well as her personal persecutions.

Please see Archbishop Burke's letter at:
http://www.ourladyofamerica.com/pdf/OpinionLetter-May-2007.pdf
to answer the question if the status of Sister Joseph Therese a/k/a Patricia Fuller has any impact on this devotion. Archbishop Burke states: "Some have raised with me the canonical question regarding the status of Our Lady of the Nativity Convent in Seneca County, Ohio, which has been the residence of any remaining members of the suppressed contemplative branch of the Congregation of Sisters of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus. In response, I observe that the canonical question has no bearing on the devotion or its approbation."

So, it doesn't really matter. This devotion belongs to the Church and the faithful. Let's move on and work to fulfill Our Lady's requests. Return to Purity, make Her requests known and get Her enthroned by the Bishops!

This is not the time to argue. It's the time to pray together. In all things, Charity.

N. de Plume, your quote, using Archbishop Burke, who obviously recognizes Sister's place in this cause since he has worked with her, has nothing to do with the recognized status, by Rome and her bishop, of Sister Joseph Therese.

As Luke has said, we should pray and offer apologies to those who have been hurt without even their ability to reply. I don't understand how this website can concur with such false accusations and not remove them. Something is really wrong or there is some collaboration as well against Sister and the Fostoria Center. Pray, yes, but be just and honest in your actions if you wish to receive grace or forgiveness.

There's absolutely no truth in this accusation at all! If that were the case, I can assure you that ALL of your comments and anything to do with Fostoria would have been omitted by now. That is not what this website is about.

What you are witnessing here is the voice of the community. If everyone agreed, we wouldn't be having any discussions.

It has always been the position of this blog to let the community police itself. In 12 months' time, a total of 3 comments have been deleted. These deletions were due to the use of profanity.

Editing for the sake of agenda-setting is corruption at its heart. That might work for dictators, but it has no place here. However, if you care to persist in your assertions, we can always make an exception. ;>)

May I suggest everyone take a deep breath and work on those thank you cards and mailing lists from Christmas? Or, you can always start getting your taxes together. File electronically and get that refund check so you can share it with your favorite charity. If you can't think of any, try OLTIV. We can certainly use the help too!

O.K., I've been through every page of the new website and I find absolutely no mention of exactly where these apparitions and the messages and the image were delivered.

If anyone has made a concerted effort to distance themselves from the truthful history it is the Fostoria connection. If there was any group that should be helping to save the Rome City location I would think it would be them. But, it is not.

I tried "connecting' with Sr. Joseph and Audrey Frank several years back (about 2000) and was given a condescending "no thank you" when I offered my professional services to help in this cause. I was told "very important people" are working on this and things were well in hand.

It seemed then that things were secretive and they didn't wish to share the work. I felt the only thing they wanted from me was a donation check.

I have been terribly impressed with the speed with which this movement has grown this past year since Archbishop Burke's letter was published. I thought that maybe my financial help was actually contributing to the movement. If it did, good. If not, I have learned.

This blog has been immensely popular in my circle because it gives us an opportunity to connect. The comment from the moderator speaks volumes and I applaud them for their courage to open the discussion to all topics just like in an informal meeting of interested parties. I know OLTIV has unfairly taken its share of kicks to the groin in the past from people looking to segregate the parties.

In my professional life, attorney, I have found there will always be fanatical supporters of one side of a topic and in our adversarial system of justice, they will tend to hold onto an arguement built on a faulty basis of fact rather than accept the opposing view. That is why there are judges to look through the facts without emotion and render a finding of fact.

I feel a big mistake has been made. Sr. Joseph Therese and her advisors are sitting on precarious ground with her copyrights and trademarks. These messages and image have already been given away freely as downloadable files on a publicly accessible domain using telecommunications wires across state lines. It's hard to put the cat back in the bag to argue legal suppression of use at this point.

Keep praying and try to keep your vision open to all the evidence before us.

This has been so for a long time - esp. through those places of enthronement, the Air Maria site and many others. So why are you complaining? It would appear that there is no basis for it. That's the elephant in the living room here. Obviously nothing is so tight, as you wish to infer, that the entire history, messages, et al are out there for everyone and for some time. So stop whining.

The good thing though, is that any thing that gets distorted or used for wrong purposes, against this cause, can get compared, by the bishops, with the protected and authenticated messages, prayers, devotionals. Thank God for that protection. Seems like a good plan by God to protect His Mother and His holy will in this.

Well, since the attorney has offered his good feelings about being able to connect here I would like to do just that and offer an experience quite the contrary to his own.

I'm a little nobody - not even an attorney - yet all I had to do was call Sister Joseph and offer my help. She didn't know me but she was very sweet. She was open to my suggestion and we arranged some radio time with friends whom she did not know to get the message out. And as far as Audrey Frank goes...once I was learned her name through Michael Brown's Spirit Daily, I simply emailed her. She answered back with great enthusiasm and care. You know that she is one tireless lady for this movement. She's the one who has hoofed the heavy statue with the youth movement to the Youth Days with the Holy Father and done so much. I doubt if she'd call those young folks "very important people". She is one great lady with a wealth of orthodox knowledge about the Catholic faith in general - no fanatic about only one place!!! She has been a blessing to Sister. And yes, that "secretive" person has also been on many media programs to everyone's delight...and that was years ago...in fact around the same time line that the attorney gave. Very strange. It would appear just the opposite....they didn't seem to need "important" people. Just simple people like myself and other grassroots Catholic help. Then again, if you're truly open to all of Her children you'll receive all kinds of surprises! Perhaps it's like you say, and maybe you could benefit from your own words:

they will tend to hold onto an arguement built on a faulty basis of fact rather than accept the opposing view.

No, actually, curious, it penetrated the heart (I was just offering you a second chance)...with the same venomous spirit of disparagement that permeates the comments here that have damaged the reputation of a good religious child of Mary, Sister Joseph Therese. But then you would have to have a heart yourself to understand that. Our dear Lord spoke about that kind of spirit...living in the heart...it is actually the same as murder according to Him. Yes, everyone gather and pray. Then resume ripping apart another's good name. The Pharisees did that too. All outward pretense of holiness for show.

And your glib put downs only add to the same dark spirit here that has split Our Lady of America's own spirit of simplicity and purity (the state of being unsullied by sin or moral wrong) from its beginning. There is great moral wrong being done here with such detraction and nothing good can stand on such a foundation. Re-read the comments and see if you think that Archbishop Burke will want to be a part of such detraction of someone he respects.

Not necessarily. How can you prove that those messages "given away freely" are authentic and have not been corrupted, altered, or have portions deleted or taken out of context?? You can't...unless you have the original, pure, unaltered copyrighted messages. They serve as the basis for the rest for comparison. And...
the only way that the Bishops, those who need to know the exact messages and historical reality in their authenticity by virtue of the plan within those messages themselves (only through the bishops can the goal of the movement/messages be met) is through the copyrighted version. Therefore, the copyrighted version must be protected as the exact source for the bishops' examination and also for posterity. One cannot, in the future, rely on hearsay, but on documented evidence, for the protection of the faithful. So your own argument of dissemination to the public necessitates the protection by copyright of the pure version of the messages, history, et al.

I think this one got into the incense. They aren't making much sense.

The abridged version of the messages was made available on their own "official" website. Are we supposed to argue that they were putting out innacurate materials on their own site?

Try again.

Ah yes, it seems to be a trait of some of this particular thread's commenters to make personal attacks when the factual reasoning goes against one's agenda. And do you also take the sacramentals of the Church as jokes to use in your personal attempts at point making?

Just which they are you now referring? Trusting the they who have taken over the website after "impersonating" Sister Joseph Therese in the "changes" they announced in her name over the site? She, who never authorized anything of the like? Now then, the they of Fostoria DO have the authentic, copyrighted messages and formerly, until this takeover, guided their dissemination.

So, again you haver provided the very evidence to my last comment. Your own current choice of "official website" is no longer under such assumed, by the faithful, watchful protection since it has been taken over by "volunteers", who seemingly felt that while on a roll, why not just "roll" over Sister and the little ones whom they fed off of. While it was convenient to their cause, while moving in, they referred properly to Sister Joseph Therese with her blessed religious title. Now, when people inquire as to the sudden change on that site they are receiving emails of detraction of Sister, calling her an ex-sister which is an authenticated untruth. Those from all over the world who may be reading this, can you believe such a dishonest power move - such ruining of the purity Our Lady insists upon in her movement?

And, for those who may not realize why Sister had to found a new site, it was due to the above power grab by those "volunteers" she trusted. When they have the audacity to announce that "Sister no longer collaborates with THEM", in their emails, just remember who decided to collaborate with whom in the beginning - they, as simply "volunteers" had agreed to collaborate with Fostoria, using its reputation as "official" for their own means. They took over an already established website.

And those "free" devotionals offered there now?...apparently they have been paid for, and with hard earned monies, by the Fostoria Center. And those of you who believe that you were and still are dealing solely with Sister Joseph, her workers, through the authenticated Center in Fostoria... Well, these fellows haven't exactly been transparent with you. You are no longer doing so, and the data base, as explained on the "forced" new official site, of your addresses is being kept by the takeover "volunteers" for their own purposes. They haven't told you that have they? They simply say they no longer collaborate with Sister and just expect you to swallow that explanation, hiding all their dishonesty.

The purity of the cause has been corrupted by the usual "end justifies the means" and the abuse of the chosen simple one who trusted, unfortunately, in those, more powerful in the eyes of the world, and who have walked on the backs of so many who have worked for this cause. And they have worked, not a couple of years as these power grabbers, but for decades, and from the grassroots. These actions, dear friends, cannot be justified by Catholic morality.

But, apparently that is what our attorney friend here enjoys defending. And that is just why the copyrighted messages, history, devotionals must be protected from mis-use, mishandling, misinterpretation, deletion, taking out of context for personal reasons, change, etc. This is to protect you, the faithful, and for posterity; for the Bishops themselves who need to know the authenticated history by one closest to the source.

The very argument the attorney presents has already been corrupted in its reasoning by these particular dishonest handlings of materials and persons. These men are not at all being transparent to you. At least the Bishops still have reference to the legal heir, and pure materials. Remember, purity!

Some people could care less about who is the official site> Sr. Joseph therese should be the FIRST to push the fact that it doesn't matter who gets the credit or who delivers the news. She is not displaying humility at all.

BYW: is there any real news to report or are we to just watch this juvenile circus wind its own way down. You folks should grow up and root for the widening of this devotion under whatever means works.

Where can someone go to inspect the public file on the Fostoria Center's public filings?

Dear Any-mouse-

what is "unpure" on the original site?

you folks seem pretty intent on promoting the virtuousness of the new site but it does not allow any of the freedoms you have been availing yourself of so freely on this site. how about you work to get them to allow unedited comments on that page?

So, you can freely come onto this site and openly slander people with innuendo and your "holier than thou" attitude? You throw something out there and then try to run behind the mantle of the Blessed Mother. What cowards you are!

You are corrupting every angle of discussion here.

Since you think yours is the only "pure" approach here, what do you propose as a solution to this "sparring" you folks are going through with the Indy group and the Bishops thay are working with?

What do you propose to do in 2008?

What do you propose should be done to honor Our Lady's requests with the property in Rome City She Herself chose as the place of special grace to reveal Herself to Sr. Millie in the first place?

So far, the only ones who seem to be trying to stay above the raucus are the good folks in Rome City.

You owe the people running this blog a HUGE thank you for continually allowing you to make your case...a case which still needs clarity to be understood. So far, all you've given as evidence is something about some fishing lure from a real nun at a real convent recognized by the Vatican.

Someone keeps speaking of detraction here. Detraction is telling someone of another person's wrongdoing when the actual act of wrongdoing or its consequence have no effect on this person or they are not in a position to remedy it or bring an end to the harmful results.

When somebody tells a group to watch out for someone who is doing bad lest they may fall prey to this person's wrongdoing, it is not detraction because it is being done in an attempt to help people.

Without full clarity and an end to these attacks on these "volunteers" who are allegedly trying to "steal" Our Lady of America, no detraction is being committed here. It is simply fair warning.

Nice rhetoric. I agree.
But it doesn't answer, with any action plan or any sense of direction, any of the questions that were asked.

That's in God's own hands. Forcing His hand when the whole purpose of this mission is for spiritual and moral change in people's own hearts isn't moving in trust of His own will. One thing we do know, His will doesn't follow ours. Trust that your prayers, if truly desiring His will, will be answered in His time.

My own sense, if only relying on how things have worked in other approved apparitions, is that once the main mission is accomplished, (and that has to be done honestly and following Bishop Leibold's own guiding thoughts upon whom the approval rests...no outside forces allowed to push things) the other places associated with the apparitions will gain their rightful place. You can't put the proverbial cart before the horse. And if there is contention in the movement, it can only help to delay things.

that's a cop-out answer.

so, you're saying you do not have any action plan. just prayers?

I believe it will not be long before the local bishop or another issues a statement which will illuminate the actuality of whether or not Sr. Joseph Therese and her order are legit.

As the Most Reverend Archbishop Burke has already stated, It makes no difference in the status of the canonically-approved Our Lady of America apparitions and messages upon which this special devotion is based.

I will pray for this sister in Ohio. If she is discredited, I will pray for her just the same.

I will pray for the Indianapolis group and all of the Bishops who support this cause openly. I will pray for the family in Rome City who are doing an exceptional job of trying to preserve this obviously holy place which was ordained by Our Lady of America's birth upon the altar of the Our Lady Mother of Mercy Chapel.
