Our Lady the Immaculate Virgin
The Friday Night Rosary begins at 6:30 pm. Free Tours are available beginning at 4:00 pm every Friday. Impromptu rosaries are started and recited by visitors all throughout the weekend on Holy Family Hill. Everyone is welcome to join in.
Our Lady the Immaculate Virgin, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to support Our Lady's request to have her likeness, as Our Lady of America, placed in the National Shrine to The Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. and to support the preservation of the Holy Ground in Rome City, IN where the central messages of Our Lady of America were given and this special devotion began. OLTIV, Inc. claims no affiliation with any other group or website promoting this cause.
“In cases which concern private revelations, it is better to believe than not to believe, for if you believe and it is proven true, you will be happy that you believed, because our Holy Mother asked it of you. If you believed and it should be proven false, you will receive all the blessings as if it has been true, because you believed it to be true.” Pope Urban VIII
"What can be concluded canonically is that the devotion was both approved by
Archbishop Leibold and, what is more, was actively promoted by him. In addition, over
the years, other Bishops have approved the devotion and have participated in public
devotion to the Mother of God, under the title of Our Lady of America."
The Most Reverend Raymond L. Burke, Archbishop of Saint Louis

To the Moderator of OLTIV.
Thank you so much for the article. It is greatly appreciated.
God bless,
Lhea
The Mass before Friday's rosary is scheduled for 6pm with Adoration and the rosary to follow.
Reconciliation will be available also for those who have not been to confession lately.
Please come and enjoy this very special moment in the chapel where Our Lady of America appeared in 1956 to Sr. Neuzil and gave us these wonderful messages of hope for the salvation of the world through the purity of our youth.
She'll be waiting for you there.
P.S. Bring your gallon jugs to fill at the well.
You have to keep in mind that this article was written in 2006 with no input as to the events in Rome City.
When I first read this last year, my first thought was: "well, that's HALF the story. Who will tell the more up-to-date story?"
I think this OLTIV BLOG has done that and for that, I am very grateful. Great job people. You are doing a great service to the faithful lovers of Our Lady and Her son Jesus Christ.
Hey, did you notice we have a reader from Australia?
PLEASE click on the BuddyMap and tell us where you are. Let's fill the map with dots and spread this good news.
Hi everybody. I'm hoping someone can give me a little advice.
I am the woman who had the dreams where a woman kept telling me to go to Rome City for what I needed. My husband and I decided it was this place after we did a web search to see what Rome City was.
I feel my great success in dropping weight over this past month has been directly a result of having made the trip to this place and getting the water and learning about Our Lady of America.
I am not a Catholic, but I would like to get some information on how one becomes a Catholic. Do you just start going to church regularly or do you have to be accepted by a priest or someone before you can begin?
Can anyone help me as to what is involved? I'm just curious at this point, but I have been doing some reading.
I am not an expert on this, but it is always good to talk to a priest and tell him you are interested in conversion. The priest will be able to inform you of all involved to become a Catholic and become confirmed.
There are classes that you take to learn the catechism and understanding of the Catholic religion, and there usually a confirmation upon the ending of all classes. Confirmations for most people are done on Easter Vigil Saturday, in front of the congregation welcoming you as a new member of the Roman Catholic Church.
If you know of a Catholic church near you, talk to the pastor there. That would be a good place to start. If you just want to check it out on your own. go to some Sunday Masses, and get some books on conversations to Catholicism.
Someone else might be able to give you more information than I am doing.
I am a cradle Catholic, so my information is sketchy.
God bless in whatever you decide to do.
Thanks.
Does anyone else know of any good books?
Larry had given me a book of the OLOA messages and a book by Scott Hahn (Home Sweet Rome) that I liked a lot and now my husband is reading. I believe I was given this opportunity for a reason and I don't want to let it pass without checking it out.

Dear Ames,
It is so good to hear of your many blessings. Here is a website that may be helpful to you. It explains the process of RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults - from the Church. If you have any faithful Catholic friends, they may be able to suggest a good parish/priest to go to in order to inquire. Most parishes have a RCIA person who will help you.
As our Lady would say to you: "Thank you for responding to my call"!
KRIS
Sorry, forgot the website for Ames:

Dear Ames:
Oh this is wonderful in how the Lord and His Blessed Mother have been guiding you. Good for you, your interest is already speaking waves, the RCIA program that Kris mentioned is the place you want to start after you talk to a local priest or member of the church staff that can give you direction, all you have to do is call the church closest to you. They may have literature available so you can decide what you want to do. I encourage you to keep on the path, you will be so glad that you did.
The man that teaches RCIA at my church is actually a convert to Catholicism and is wonderful, he has such enthusiasm and energy that this past Easter we had 15 adults join, and two marriages after the Easter Vigil service. It was just beautiful.
I will keep you in my prayers so you will be able to follow your heart. I am so proud of you!
Also, thank you to TW for all your insight about OLTIV. Many thanks to the Moderator for helping me in my quest.
I will be praying the Rosary along with each of you tonight. I can't wait until August so I can come and see and feel Our Lady and Jesus' presence in this beautiful place. God Bless each of you!
Thanks for article!
