Photos Taken During Open House Rosary on April 20, 2007
These photos were taken from Holy Family Hill on April 20, 2007. While the 15 decade rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet were being prayed, the sun began spinning and all those gathered took in the spectacle that was happening right before their eyes. This event lasted nearly 1 hour.
One of those gathered had her camera and took these photos which she is sharing with us. More will be posted later.

Hello,
Beautiful pictures. I really want to come, but it is over 6 hrs. Thanks for spreading about Our Lady of America. Our Lady of America gives me hope. I keep hearing about places of refuge. Is there more about this. What if we live over 6 hrs. away?

It looks as though there is the white disc (Eucharist symbol?) in front of this spinning sun. Is that right? What a blessing. Whenever I hear of this I think of it being a sign of the Eucharist as our main "energy" source - greater than the sun which itself gives us our necessary energy for continual existence.
I have seen all of the photos from the Friday rosary and they are just tremendous. Something is DEFINITELY going on and you can FEEL it all around you.
I don't know what the different colored orbs are supposed to represent, but I find it compelling that there are so many different distinct colors being evident. I showed these to a photographer friend and he had no explanation for it.
As for DOT's question about the six hour drive, all I can say is "it's worth the effort". Get a room at the springs or in the nearby town and make it a truly memorable trip.
I pray that someone or some group will step forward to help ensure this Holy Ground is able to be maintained as the spiritual refuge it most certainly is. Our Lady of America chose this place for a reason and She continues to speak to us through the many miracles and signs and wonders that we are so attracted to, Keep in mind it isn't about the signs and wonders, but it is about the FRUIT that grows from our experiences with getting closer to Jesus. There have been so many testimonials here of the conversions and true-life faith experiences, it sickens me to think there could be a risk of this family not succeeding in keeping it for Our Lady of America's use as they have been working so hard to do.
I have known Larry for a number of years since he has been here. At first, I was rather cynical of the apparitions and their place in our Church. Since then, I have dramatically changed my views (mostly because of what I have personally witnessed and felt during quiet prayer on the grounds and in the sacred chaples). This is one of the most special parts of this place. You can hear yourself think and you can feel Our Lord's and Our Lady's presence.
AWESOME photos! I CAN'T WAIT TO COME VISIT.
The St. Joseph novena is wonderful. This was a very good suggestion by Our Lady of America Center. I wish they had put it on their website, but at least OLTIV did and I thank you all for this. This way more people can take part in this effort.
I have always been attracted to St. Joseph as a model. I think his role in this movement needs to be promoted more so more men can identify with their own roles in their families.
This is phenomenal. I am not the least bit surprised that this happened during the rosary prayers. God returns our devotion in splendid ways.
I have been more impressed with the candor of this site and the comments people have made than many other sites pertaining to apparitions and Our Lady's messages. This place is what it is and we need to acknowledge that ASAP. Please continue to pray for our Bishops and for our country in the months ahead.
I know this family needs help and has been trying to keep the facility pure for Our Lady. I appreciate your efforts and I want you to know there are people praying for you that the right person will be inspired to take up this cause and support you in this effort. You have done well, but I know you must be burdened beyond belief. I am impressed with how steadfastly you have handled these things and have not turned this into a circus. The photos say it all for you. Let the faithful decide for themselves and let the fruits be discerned.
This is really incredible. God's grace is abundantly flowing. What a spectacle.
This certainly wasn't a dusty lens now was it?
I've seen lots of miraculous photos, but nothing quite like this.
These are incredible.
To Dot-
I live over 15 hours away and my family is planning a trip to Rome City and a few other destinations this summer. The kids want to attend a ball game at Wrigley field in Chicago and see the Indy 500 racetrack.
My suggestion is just do it because I think you will be very happy you did. I WISH I were only six hours drive away.
I have studied photo phenomena for many years trying to de-bunk fake poltergeists and such.
These photos are "extra"-ordinary in the truest definition of the word. The multi-colored orbs are most intriguing as well as the movement. Something is going on here and should be studied further by spiritual leaders so they can help promote these events.
These are some amazing photos. It just proves how special this place is. I am simply amazed at how quiet this is. I mean, you'd think someone like Michael Brown or Signs and Wonders would be all over this type of stuff and reporting it.
Also, what is happening with the approval process? There is absolutley NOTHING on the "official" website regarding the status of getting the statue into the national Shrine. What's with the big secret?
I am thankful for this website and the opportunity to learn and explore more about Our Lady of America. The powerpoint slideshow is great. I have sent it to numerous people and they have forwarded it on also. We need more of this type of thing to help spread the messages. 3-5 minutes long is ideal so we don't lose their attention.
Do You good people really believe this garbage?
Please do not be fooled by the devil's work through this place. This is all false. Follow the true message of Our Lady of Fatima.
I believe...and you are close-minded to the Love of Our Lady.
I just don't get you people who think that everything stopped in the heavens after Fatima. I believe our prayers are answered and She does love us with boundless energy as a good mother loves her children.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
To Andrea,
I have a little bit of advice for you. I feel your time would be better spent just by staying in Rome City an extra day rather then wasting your time going to Wrigley Field and praying that the Cubs win. GO SOX
I agree completely with anonymous that this is the devil's work. It is deception and some of you good people are falling for it at the moment, but I am sure that all of you will come to your senses before long and realize that this so-called lady of America is a fraud. I will pray to our Blessed Mother for you.
God bless you and protect you from imposters!
I believe....that there are at least TWO nut-jobs out there who do not have the courage that comes from belief and they hide behind the cloak of anonymous comments. You are both cowards.
BTW: you are both incorrect in your beliefs, but we will pray for you anyway. How can all these Bishops be wrong?
I believe you are all closed to the love of Our Lady!! I think all of this chatter is annoying to Our Lady and others!!
Why don't you all who are so involved in the awe of all these miraculous things get off your duffs and do something about not only the Springs, but bringing Our Lady of America into the Shrine??
When is the real request of Our Lady going to start to get the devotion and attention it needs from all of you? I am all for the Springs, and the Shrine, but until we have Our Lady of America recognized and in that Basilica in Washington D.C.--we got nothing!! Get it?? When are you all going to get it??
Do what Our Lady asked Sister Millie to do! Sister Millie is no longer here, so her work and the original bishop's work with her must be continued by all of you who act like you care but keep waiting for the sky to fall in before you do anything. You all sound like Chicken Little, even though in a more positive vein, but still running around with your heads cut off.
Work hard with your parishes, preists, (bishops in particular.) Write those letters, you don't need a degree to inform your bishop what is going on and give him the website. For everyone's sake ACT and stop all this Chatter!!
If I am not incorrect there was, quite awhile ago, a comment talking about a request from Our Lady in contacting the bishops. Someone out there who did not come out and say it directly but made it sound as if they havd received that message from Our Lady of America and passed it on more than once, I believe. Where are you, that someone?? Help these people here see the light!! If you all don't stop chattering about how great this all is and start to take action regarding it, there is going to be NOTHING HAPPENING!!
Once Our Lady of America is recognized and in that Basilica, in Washington, D.C. everything, even the Springs will fall into place and become a place of solace.
Keep your eye on the ball. And that person who had the message from Our Lady to get the Bishops together, please comment and help these lost souls.
Get your mind on what is important here please, for Our Lady's sake!!
Amen
I think you are missing the point of this "chatter". What is happening here is a development of discussion points and people sharing feelings which are attracting others to the "fire" of this special devotion. A community is being born.
Some of it does get off-base at times, but things always get emotional whenever you start talking about religion or politics. It means somebody gives a damn when they voice their opinion. Do you think everyone who looks at this site bothers to comment? NO WAY. For every comment, there are probably 1000 visits. Visitors who have read the posts and have read what others have said (99.98% positive).
I thought everyone was supposed to lay off the Bishops and let the "official" group from Fostoria handle the communications. I had heard AB Burke was spearheading this drive. Is that not the case? If not, what is the case?
I've contacted my Bishop and he never replied. I've written several others in the Boston area and they did not reply either. I think the way to get their attention is to assemble in large, consistent gatherings and show devotion.
My suggestion:
Pick 10-15 Regional locations for people to gather every weekend to pray the rosary and exchange information on Our Lady of America.
I would make sure thta the National Basilica is one of the places as well as the Rome City location. The rest can be in major cities at the local Cathedrals.
I wouldn't look to the "official" group to do this because they seem to just keep to themselves and don't give any updates. This seems like a pretty open channel that people can communicate through, so I suggest using this forum to organize.
Also, quit the anonymous comments if you want to be taken seriously.
Anonymous said "Once Our Lady of America is recognized and in that Basilica, in Washington, D.C. everything, even the Springs will fall into place and become a place of solace."
I've got news for you...it already IS a place of solace. I was there back in 2001 for an overnite with my family. The kids still talk about it. No TV's, no video games, natural beauty, and that feeling of peace and safety being in a blessed place. That's what I call solace.
I think the last comment from the Notre Damer was right on. Letters only attract so much attention. Get your butts out there and show the Bishops and your priests that you care.
I know there is a regular Friday night rosary at the Springs that could be one gathering spot, but I'm sure larry wouldn't mind if you chose any time of the week to meet (Saturday or Sundays) as long as it didn't interfere with an event or something. Anyone that would keep people coming for a 15 decade rosary every Friday for 6 years is doing something right and I'm certain he would not keep any other groups from coming to the hill or chapel to pray.
I think the gatherings is by far a better idea than just writing the Bishops. I'd even go further and say you should meet wherever they are having these immigration rallys and make a banner for OLOA and pass out info alongside all these people rallying. Then take lots of pictures and talk to newspaper people as to why you are there. I think Our Lady is in favor of these immigrants being treated fairly, but I also think she would want them to follow the laws (just my opinion).
I was at Adoration this afternoon and I was reading the St. Joseph Novena and praying a rosary for Our Lady of America when a very troubling feeling came over me. I may be a bit too introspective here but I had a sinking feeling that there is a dark force that is working extra hard right now to squash this effort to enshrine Our Lady of America and destroy this movement.
Then I read the web page here and I see some people are getting frustrated. I understand and I am willing to do what I can to help. I think the best idea so far has been to organize gatherings. they don't have to be super-sized just meaningful to those who gather because they are VERY meaningful to Our Lord. People always find strength in numbers and graces expand geometrically when asked for in communion with each other.
I would be happy to dedicate my Saturdays to meeting with people at the Rome City site if they would like to start something.
If interested, leave your comment here and I will respond.
To IM
Obviously since nothing more has been said since your excellent and faithful suggestion, I would say gathering as you are willing to do on Saturdays at Rome City, is just as difficult for most who are commenting as is writing their bishops.
Again I say, everyone wants it done, and I truly believe they do; but most who believe want it to just happen. Prayers are vital, but so is action. It still appears that most do not want to put themselves out. They just want it to happen.
It doesn't work that way in this world and in God's world.
This makes this movement moving forward so very sad for Our Lady.
I sense the natural frustration in some of the comments that there does not appear to be any progress in the movement.
I disagree. To a large extent, there is the new statue that has been prepared and exhibited. There has been the mass at the national shrine. There is this website which lets us communicate our feelings, blessings, and great ideas to help foster Our Lady's desires to be recognized as Our Lady of America.
I come to this site evry day to see what others have to say. I have never commented before. I wish Kris and the others who have solid comments would contribute more often because they seem to have a good hold on things.
I think the gatherings are an excellent idea especially if they are done at the Cathedrals around the country. Make it known that you are meeting and sit together during Mass so as to exhibit your support.
These are just my thoughts. I can tell from the last comment that this person is getting extra-frustrated, but we must remember that most people are pretty lazy these days and we have to take them by the hand and ask them to help us. Start with regular church-goers and expand from there.
I ran across this listing on eBay this morning.

I feel very sad for the potential loss of this special place.
How can anyone look at these photos and think that Our Lady isn't with us or that nothing is happening?
Be hopeful and joyful and spread the feeling and messages of Our Lady of America to those around you.

I can now understand just why Our Lady always refers to us as "chldren". She knows what first appeals to children in order to get their attention: little kisses, little delights, little gifts of wonder to draw them to give attention to her. In a sense, it's like having dessert first....or at least those spoons full of sugar that help the harder medicine to go down! And we should also realize, in scripture, that the necessity for using such methods is due to our lessened faith ... which is so evident in these times. That said, if we children only stay with the dessert we're really not moving into any greater maturity which has to be obedience and discipline.
So, how do we then show our gratitude for the possibilities of such a spot as this chosen place here which we know must come to its full fruition - not just for a chosen few - but for the entire country? Well, by really reading and understanding the requests and messages given by this beautiful Mother to her chosen messenger, Sr. Neuzil.
We speak of organizing prayer groups just for this cause. I think that is wonderful if people are truly serious. Out of such prayer groups should then come the purchase of information booklets along with an ACCURATE written history of just those Church sanctioned OLOA activities, involving bishops and priests, (listed through the link here to the OLOA website) - the who, what, and when of the evolving process - including the World Youth Days, etc. (which can also be copied from SpiritDaily's archives). ONLY with such ACCURATE info at hand can any worthwhile discussion with any bishop take place. So he didn't reply to your initial gesture? So what else is new?!! Believe me, trying to interest a very skeptical bishop with spinning suns or miraculous water BEFORE Church approval is putting the horse before the cart. AFTER he has had a chance to digest the history of partial approval and knows that certain bishops have given their backing, then people can introduce the good fruits from their personal experiences. Friendly priests could be invited to such prayer groups and given a PREPARED AND ACCURATE presentation for him to take back with him ... and perhaps to mention to his bishop. We must get back to our Church set up according to God's will with laity respecting the levels ... as frustrating as this sometimes is.
And then there is that rather devisive spirit that shows its head here every once in a while - through excitement accompanied by, perhaps impatience or selfishness - when speaking about the two different websites. Again, there CANNOT be, to my reasoning, anything reported at the "official" site that has NOT been Church sanctioned. Why? Because, as is outlined in their mission statement - they are only working in union with the bishops ... not because they are enclosed or narrow minded ... but because that is what is ordered by Blessed Mother in her requests to her chosen messenger, now represented by the messenger's replacement within her cloistered order. Only through humility, which by all accounts here seems to express the personalities of the current owners, will fruit grow. This place will have to have a firm foundation for some permanency ... and this will probably take place in God's good time. If there is a new buyer, as is shown by the sales ad is probable, hopefully there is a stipulation for such a person's future intention for this spot.
This may be way out in left field at the moment, but it occurred to me that someone like Mr. Tom Monaghan of Pizza fortune would be someone to speak to. Although he's busy building his Catholic college/city in Florida at the moment, he is rather charismatic in his faith, and so would be open to the happenings here. And ... since he is a friend of Mother Angelica's, and since she is most likely aware of the involvement of her monastery with OLOA, I would suggest that the owners try to be in contact with her for such a suggestion of ownership or monetary backing. Not through EWTN, but Mother Angelica directly. She may now be suffering from the results of her strokes, but she is still aware and her sisters are as well.
So, that is my own offering for any real movement of good will beyond the individual desires we've heard a lot about here...remember this, as they say, it's bigger than just both of us and our own special needs!!
Kris-
thank you for your comment. I am going to take the liberty of responding to your comment about sharing this information on OLA with my Bishop. FYI, I made ABSOLUTELY no mention of any of the mystical phenomena that has been discussed or evidenced on this site or elsewhwere when I sent him the information. What I did send him was a private letter requesting his open-minded discernment after reading the booklet of the OLA messages I had sent him along with a medal. I put together a small file of articles on Archbishp Leibold and the current status and comments from other Bishops where the statue has been processed.
I agree that these sun spinnings and butterflies are attractive devices used by Our Lady to get our attention and reinforce our belief. Jesus did the same thing when he performed the miracles. He only did them so people would believe he was the Son of God and listen to his word. Without the miracle of the sun at Fatima in front of 70,000+ the Bishops would probably still be denying those messages.
It is difficult getting a Bishop or priest to listen to any mention of this topic without them looking at you as if you had three eyes or something. It's like getting an MD to suggest you see a chiropractic doctor for a backache. it is a rarity when it happens. I don't think I am too far off-base in expecting a reply to my thoughtful letter and informational package on such an important topic as this.
I think we need to stick with discussing the messages and evaluating the fruits. There has been more than enough wonderful spiritual fruits associated with this facility and OLA to convince me. I'll leave the sun spinnings and other phenomena for the rest of you to dwell on. I'm concerned about saving souls.
As far as the "other" website's information flow, all I can say is that it is helpful to know what IS going on and not WHAT has already happened. I would like to be a part of any processions or Masses and do what I can. I think that is all some of these other people are trying to relate. It is frustration in the face of something we all see as a perilous situation unfolding before us. We need quality leadership to focus our attention on the hopeful side of the options list.
I would be a little skeptical of anything Monaghan is involved with. You never know when the axe will fall in any of his projects. Mother Angelica might be a better option. Let us know what she says when you talk to her.

Well, P. Kemp, I think it's great that you contacted your bishop in the way that you did. Excellent. It can only plant another seed, which if watered by the attention of others doing the same, may some day take root. At least the channels have been open to the bishops and some things are happening. I am grateful for that. As far as apparitions go, one could even say, that in this relatively short time of recent efforts for this cause, it's almost a miracle! You aren't alone re: the non-response for your efforts. I've sent various nudges for different causes to bishops and if there is any response at all it is usually in some pro forma way. And I can understand the many reasons for this...even while being disappointed. So, we'll continue to act and back it with prayer (and perhaps even fasting?). I do know that packets were mailed out to each bishop some time ago. If they got buried, then more info should, like the proverbial pest of the judge in the night, be going forth! Since this is relatively new on their radar screens it may take a few bishops at a time to help the others to see the light.
And, frankly, I doubt if the other website feels authorized within their stated mission to advertise any upcoming events. Such events are pretty independent of each other and do their own promoting as they desire. Or it is something done within a greater event like the Right to Life march. I suppose it's even more important if we can get more events going within our own back yards or dioceses. Everything helps in its own way ... even perhaps any efforts made by wealthy Catholics who at least try to benefit the life of the Church. If there is failure at first, they may switch tactics and try again. I know that over the years I certainly have had to. But that's how we learn about our weaknesses in contrast to God's perfection.
May I inquire as to HOW you know the Bishops were sent a package of info and by who(m)? Was this public knowledge that was posted anywhere? I would like to know what they are looking at so I do not seem foolish if I ever get the opportunity to speak to any of them re: this effort. I get around in my job and I see a LOT of Chancery officials around the country. It's always good to have your facts in a row.

May I inquire as to HOW you know the Bishops were sent a package of info and by who(m)?
Sure. This was back a few years ago when Mike Brown was doing some articles and mentioned a couple of names of persons who had known Sister Neuzil and who were just beginning a grassroots movement under the guidance of Sr. Joseph (interesting too since St. Joseph plays such a prominent role in these visions!). They wished to acquaint the bishops with the history. I tried to do my part in having someone representing Sr. Joseph on a local Catholic radio program. I also contacted the person/friend of Sr. Neuzil and Sr. Joseph that Mike mentioned in his articles, and when she wasn't traveling with the youth movement/statue she was nice enough to write to me and encourage any involvement in spreading the message. In fact, later this lady was again on this local radio program and was most informative about so many things Marian. People did receive the info and it was up to them. There was lots of interest for a while. Then there was a quiet period. Then there was a little bit more on the movement of some bishops as well, now, with this site. One, with good will, can just become interested and then try to follow up with the info one is able to find. If you google Our Lady of America you can find several other sites/blogs that have been working and informing. You can find past informative articles of Mike Brown's Spirit Daily here (which include the importance of St. Joseph):
http://www.spiritdaily.org/archive%20pages/our_lady_apparitions.htm
People may just be getting to know about this movement from this lovely site, but there has been much going on without any desire to "keep things to themselves". It's just that the work has been rather unsensational - perhaps due to trying to be obedient to the messages with people still trying to acquaint themselves with the messages. Without much in funds the materials were not that plentiful up until lately so people did what they could with what they had. Hope that helps.

P.S. There is a petition that can be copied and have people sign and be sent to the bishops here:
http://www.shjolg.com/Our%20Lady%20of%20America,%20explanation.htm
That petition was pulled from the official site over a year ago. They do not want the Bishops getting hit with these petitions anymore.
Strange, but true. There seems to be a new team running the program since last year and they have a different method.
I'm with P Kemp, I'd like to know more of what is going on, but I guess us "regular folks" don't get to vote on it.
That is old info on the petition drive. The new lobbying effort is hopefully keeping a more pinpoint attention on this matter with the Bishops and will accomplish the end result we all seek.
I think the heartfelt concerns that have been expressed here are good. They show passion for this movement. It just needs to be addressed by a statement from Archbishop Burke or someone actually LEADING this effort. Otherwise, we are just a sea of followers with our own banners crying for these messages to be promoted from THE TOP and not just supported from the bottom.
This is a campaign that is a lot like a marketing effort trying to spread the availability of a better product. If you tell people about it and they see what is being asked by Our Lady, they almost always say to me "That's good! America NEEDS this."
"This is a campaign that is a lot like a marketing effort..."
Bingo! That's exactly what it is -- a marketing campaign! And like many marketing campaigns it employs deceptive advertising...which is why it is failing with the Bishops and a majority of the faithful. Anti-Christ deception tactics won't deceive the elect.
God bless His faithful and not allow deception to befall them.
That was an idiotic comment!
The BIBLE was a marketing campaign. Otherwise, it would never have been written down. It was compiled and "marketed" to people to help spread the idea of hope and salvation...a better product than the paganism which was rampant.
Quit being stupid with your negative remarks!
That negative anonymous comment is only coming from someone who is TOTALLY ignorant!
From what I have heard, most of the Bishops who have learned of this, completely, are expressing a favorable response and are willing to discuss it. THAT is huge in and of itself.
According to "anonymous", all missionaries and evangelists are just sales reps pushing the Gospel?
"And like many marketing campaigns it employs deceptive advertising"
For example....?
I did not mean to say that all this movement is is a "marketing campaign" although the dissemination of ANY news or knowledge employs elements of "marketing" at their root. Maybe there is a better comparison someone could make.
People like anonymous called the children at Fatima liars as well as Bernadette. Some still do. Even Bernadette's own mother called her a liar and said she had half the world believing her lies. This is to be expected.
Let the anonymous person wallow in their own misery, but pray for them because they are "most in need of thy mercy".
This is a perfect example of the passion about which I spoke. We need to use this to its fullest advantage in helping to spread the request of Our Lady.
I went back through the lost books of the Bible and, according to the negative anonymous' approach to this effort, St. Peter was actually named "Salesman of The Month" for 9 of the first 12 months of the Church.
That's funnier now than when John Paul II first told that joke back in the seminary.
The classics hold up well.
Were these photos taken on Holy Family Hill? I was up there last night and it was a little cloudy, but the sun broke through while I was praying a rosary with my son and we both could see the sun spinning like when I was at Medjugorje last year. I know this place is Holy Ground and I would be willing to stake my life on it.
If you have not been here, you cannot form a valid opinion. Please, to anyone who feels this is false, do not hurt the faith of those of us who have taken the time to examine this site first-hand and have come to know the truth. Your baseless claims are without merit.
Tremendous!!
