Our Lady of America's Plea To Spread Her Message

In 1956, Our Lady of America asked for the children of America to lead the world by the purity of their lives. This past Palm Sunday, Pope Benedict XVI echoed this plea when he asked that the youth of the world choose purity in their lives. The time is now. We need to commit ourselves to this ideal and do that which is necessary to implement these changes.

A message was given in 2001 atop Holy Family Hill to "Bring me my children. Bring me all of my children." The owners have taken this message to heart and have worked to prepare the facility for use by children and families looking to visit and explore their spiritual lives. Many business opportunities have been passed up due to the negative impact they may have had on what they felt was going to be the eventual "highest and best" use of this property.

OLTIV feels that "highest and best" use is to serve as a destination for faithful pilgrims seeking a closer relationship with Our Lord, Jesus Christ.

OLTIV has a vision for this property that will position it as the world's most unique site dedicated to the special devotion of The Holy Family according to the request of Our Lady of America. OLTIV desires to host families and individuals looking to grow in their understanding of Our Lady of America's requests to follow the path of Her Son. Opportunities to educate children and parents of the examples set forth by The Holy Family will be facilitated by innovatively utilizing the complex's many extraordinary features.

With its numerous private rooms and dormitory-style lodging and dining rooms, this facility is well-equipped to host a large number of families and individuals for overnite or extended stays. Its large complex of high-quality athletic fields are ready for use by youth groups looking to combine friendly competition with spiritual development and education. The expansive lawns allow visitors to find the solace and serenity of a typical retreat center just a few steps from the front door. Two chapels are available for accomodating services for 20 to 450 people at a time.

The vision for the future calls for creating larger outdoor paved gathering areas and a remodeled outdoor landscape to be more conducive for people in wheelchairs to enjoy the grounds and take the waters that cascade down the hillside. We envision incorporating a natural outdoor ampitheatre area into plans for music performances, Holy Masses, and special presentations during larger events...all of which will be available through internet access by the rest of the world.

We do not know exactly what the future holds, but we know we must preserve and keep this place to do the work for which it has been ordained. Countless numbers of people have already been gloriously changed, physically and spiritually, through their experiences at this special place Our Lady chose to first announce Herself as Our Lady of America. It is here to fulfill a role which Our Lady knew would, one day, be necessary to act as a refuge for Her children..."all of my children".

Our Lady had said that special graces would be bestowed upon all who worked to fulfill Her request of being enshrined in the National Shrine to The Immaculate Conception and promoting Her message of Our Lady of America throughout the land.

Please join us in working to promote Her wishes through the work of this very special place. We need your help to do this work. This work will result in the bestowing of special graces upon all those involved and in the saving of countless souls while bringing American families to a stronger commitment to Our Lord, Jesus Christ.

I am so happy to see that there is a big vision for this special place. The American family is a great target and it looks like OLTIV is taking the right approach to reach them in the spirit that Our Lady has requested.

It is good to see that there is something that ordinary people can be a part of helping to create and bring about. So much of the effort so far has been to contact the Bishops and pray but that only goes so far. I've always been told that "God helps those who help themselves". If we get rolling with this it will unfold as Our Lady has always planned.

I do not have money, but I do have time and ability to do work. I have been a volunteer at Lourdes in years past and I would love the opportunity to do service work for Our Lady here on American soil helping to build something like what is available in France.

She is Our Lady of AMERICA and I believe in Her promises.

My wife and I took a trip to Rome City yesterday to seek a healing for painful migraines which have been a part of her life for nearly a decade. I was a bit of a skeptic, but I would do anything to help alleviate these headaches which ahve compromised our daily routine for so many years.

We excitedly arrived to find the gates to the property open and several other people walking the grounds by the ponds and on the hill with the Holy Family statue. The building was, unfortunately, closed.

We joined another couple for a rosary and then filled our containers with the water from the waterfall. My wife washed her face and hands in the water like the little girlscout she once was and drank a small amount from her hands while asking for her pains to be taken away. By the time we made it back to our car and had our jugs loaded, my dear wife looked at me with tears in her eyes and said her pain was gone and she felt cured. We walked back to the hill to say thank you to Our Lady of America and to tell the other couple what had just happened.

We knocked, we sought, we asked. And Jesus gave us what we needed yesterday. This has been a wonderful blessing in our life and we heartily agree that this place is destined for God's Holy work.

Thank you for all of your efforts. We will always remember this Holy Easter as a time of our own rebirth.

Amen brother Henry!! Everyone always says that "God will provide" but you have to show Him you are exercising your own free will for His work first. Why should He put His gifts towards someone who isn't committed to the work?

That is GREAT NEWS for the Ohio couple in receiving the cure for her headaches. I can certainly empathize with the relief you must be feeling.

I cannot begin to imagine how wonderful this couple is feeling today.

It is good to see that OLTIV is working towards a "highest and best use" of this property and has a vision that can be shared with everyone concerned for Our Lady of America. It is obvious to me that this very special place is already touching so many people in marvelous ways both physically and spiritually. We need to appreciate it for what it is and recognize these wonderful gifts of the Holy Spirit that are working through this particular place.

This couple from Ohio came in faith to seek a cure from a disabling malady that they had been afflicted by for a decade. She had the headaches but he was being hurt too. His comment was so poignant. You must knock, seek, and ask. They did as the Gospel had directed and were given the gift of healing. Then, they went back to say "Thanks to God" which is also very important.

We can all learn from this event and we should all say "Thanks to God" all throughout our day.

Please continue to pray for Our Lady of America and Her Bishops. Please help this cause if you are able in any way you can.

My husband and I were at Sylvan Springs on Saturday afternoon when the other couple from Ohio who shared their story showed up to pray a rosary with us. It was a cold day and I wasn't up for hanging around outside much but my husband wanted me to stay and so I did as I was told because he was driving and he had the keys.

This other couple met up with us. Her name was Brenda and I forget his name but she was saying they came for water and a miracle. We told her we would help her pray for that miracle but she would have to get the water herself.

We all prayed a rosary and divine mercy chaplet and Brenda and her husband left to fill their jugs while we walked around some more. My husband misplaced his prayer book, so we ended up walking all the way back to the hill to see if he had left it there. There it was at the base of the statue.

On our way back down, we ran into Brenda again who was crying. When I asked what was wrong she just said that Jesus had healed her of her migraines and that she needed to go back up the hill to say thanks. We were shocked because we could not see anything physically different but they were both so enthusiastic about her healing that we said we would pray with them again.

We all went back up the hill and gave thanks for the blessings upon Brenda and her cure. It was quite emotional for this couple who had apparently lived with this for many years. They offered us one of their jugs of water they had filled and we said our goodbyes.

Well, on our way home, as we were talking about how God gives us what we need, our car began to overheat and my husband needed to use that gallon of water to top off the radiator so we were able to make it home with no problem. I don't know if this qualifies as a miracle, but we are thankful just the same.

What a day!

This just goes to show us how much of a sense of humor heaven has in giving us our little confirmations.

Good news for the Holloways from Ohio. This was probably pretty good for the Walters family too! Both have a special day to remember.

The Diocese of Houston-Galveston Texas is building a new Cathedral to
replace crumbling Sacred Heart Church in downtown Houston, which has
functioned as a co-Cathedral for years--the Diocese's main cathedral
being tiny old St Mary's in out-of-the-way Galveston, TX.

This is an unparallelled opportunity to name the new co-Cathedral in
honor of OUR LADY OF AMERICA-- Anyone in contact with Marian theologians or Bishops (notably those St Louis, or of Cheyenne, Wyoming) known to favour or foster devotion to our Lady under this title, -- please write (don't e-mail; they're too easily deleted as spam) --to ask them to respectfully petition good Archbishop Daniel DiNardo to consider dedicating the new co-cathedral under this title; or at least ask him to name it "co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and Our Lady of America?"

I'm sure Archbishop DiNardo hasn't thought of the opportunity to give a new name to the place, and he may know little or nothing about the apparation at all. The diocese of Galveston-Houston is dedicated to Our Lady--it would be appropriate to name the new cathedral for her under the title of OUR LADY OF AMERICA , and this would surely bring great blessings of conversion and repentance to the South and Southwestern United States--PLUS publicise Our Lady's message in this approved apparation--. Then, Pray the Archbishop will be guided by the Holy Spirit to do this !

I am an ordinary housewife and doubt my solitary request would influence Archbishop diNardo; but I'm sure he would heed many "snail-mail" letters asking him to do this. It would be wonderful if MANY people wrote Archbishop DiNardo this request in a respectful, handwritten letter, marked "personal" on the envelope-- Whoever reads this, will you write, and ask others to, --especially anyone you know in Houston ? Our Lady will be pleased at your effort to spread her message by asking Archbishop DiNardo to name the new co-Cathedral in her honor. [ Why not copy this letter over your own name, and send it to other Catholic blogs and sites? ]

The
Archbishop's address is:

Most Rev. Daniel DiNardo,
Diocese of Galveston-Houston,
1700 San Jacinto St.,
Houston, TX 77002

Thank you. --Raven Wenner, Houston TX
