I've been to the hill at Sylvan Springs and the sun was spinning today.

What does a "spinning" sun look like?

I have heard that it appears to move around in the sky or that colors will seem to fly off of it. Is this what happened today? Is this a frequent occurence here? Did any other images appear as in photos posted on this website?

Yes...the sun did appear to move about the sky and colors were flying off of it...blues/reds/gold...it was really awesome and quite humbling.

You could see a sort of grey disc covering it and just the outside rim of the sun was bright. It was really easy to look at it with no harmful after effects.

Larry had told me this happens sometimes but I never really thought much about it. I was driving by the campus late today when I felt the impulse to stop in and walk to the hill and say "thanks" for a beautiful day. I was checking out the statue and groundcover for maintenance when I felt I was being told to look up to the sky. Then it happened! Really spectacular.

The weather forecast looks exceptional for Friday. I am going to try and get some friends to drive up with me for the afternoon and maybe we can stay for the rosary. I have been wanting to visit this place for a long time and I feel drawn there now more than ever.

Thank you for this web space and all the information on it for Our Lady of America.

I stopped by this beautiful place yesterday and it felt wonderful. I cannot make it to the open house, but I will be back soon.

Thank you all.

What an awesomely beautiful piece of property.

The grounds are breathtaking and you immediately feel the sense of calm and openess(?) when you get out of your car. The waterfall and bubbling well are extra special. I took some water from the well and it is delicious. You don't get water like that from a tap!

I love the statue of the Holy Family on the hill. I have never seen one quite like it before. It is a perfect representation for families to emulate.

I met up with another small group of people who stopped by and we all prayed a decade of the rosary together. There is so much natural beauty, it is hard to describe.

Thank you for all your efforts. I am certain Our Lady thanks you too!

I heard about the water that began gushing on Good Friday afternoon and I was excited to hear that a bus tour I was taking to Shipshewana, IN would be going right past this amazing place yesterday. With the approval of the coordinator, I begged the driver to pull in to the grounds for a brief stop. I had told the rest of the tour about the history and we all got off and looked around and took some photos. A man who was mowing grass showed us the water that I was seeking and I filled my bottles and washed my face and hands as did many of the rest on the bus.

I have suffered from chronic arthritis in my hands and wrists for over 20 years and it was especially painful this past week, however, after washing in the water and drinking from the flowing well, my pain has been gone and I am able to write with a pen and type on my keyboard with little effort. I don't know if I am cured, but I certainly am not suffering today.

The tour director says she plans to make it a regular stop for her trips to Amish country. I told her about this website and she actually accessed it from the parking lot while we were there because of the internet signal. If we had the time, it would have been grand to take a tour inside. I will be coming back to visit and hopefully I will be able to witness the spinning sun as others have described.

Several of us on the bus spent hours talking about this place and its comparisons to Lourdes on the rest of our trip yetserday. It was tremendously exciting and they all thanked me for telling them about this very holy place. Many people commented about how special it felt.

This is the place of Our Lady of America. It feels like LOVE.

I had been teaching my kids about OLOA for a few months now and my husband was always a little less excited about it mainly because he did not know the details involved. Yesterday after church, the kids asked if we could go to Rome City and see this place for ourselves. My husband, without even looking at me, said "yes, how about today?"

We went home and packed up the lunch meat for sandwiches and we hit the road. When we arrived, there wasn't anyone around, so we just walked around and enjoyed ourselves. We made it to a hill where there is a lovely statue of the Holy Family and my husband suggested we pray a rosary together. This shocked me. It turns out he has been reading this blog for some time now and he knew a lot more than he had lead me to believe. He said it made so much sense to him because of the role of St Joseph and the holy family as the example for us to follow. This was real to him and something he could put into action rather than just praying about a cause. My husband is a "worker" type. St Joseph was a worker too.

The kids were excited about the fish in the ponds and the waterfall. They tried catching turtles and frogs and just had a wonderful time.

We filled some milk jugs with water from the waterfall and had our sandwiches in the parking lot. While we were eating, my 6 year old son said "Is this where Mary lives? She has a nice house."

I told him that Mary has many houses and that I think this is one of them. It sure feels like home. It is a place that inspires prayer and reflection. My husband even agreed on that. We had a lovely time and the place IS really beautiful. We will be back again when the kids are out of school.

The following letter was received from the Our Lady of America Center last night. We at OLTIV have been mindful of the influence of St. Joseph in this entire movement and we agree that this is something that every family or household should attend to to help in the efforts of Our Lady of America.

Because of the length of the text of the 9 Day Novena, we will not print it here. If you will email us at info@oltiv.org, we will forward a copy of the entire text for your use at home and within your prayer groups.

Thank you all for your help in this effort for Our Lady of America.

Dear Friend of Our Lady of America
It has been several months since we have sent out an e-mail concerning devotion to Our Lady of America.
Since early this year, orders for devotionals have risen dramatically as have visits to our web site. We cannot help but think that the powerful intercession of Our Lady and St. Joseph are spreading the word of Heaven’s urgent call for America to return to purity as exemplified by the Holy Family.
The Our Lady of America Center has had numerous communications with Bishops across the country. Responses coming into the Center from Bishops have been unanimously positive and supportive of our efforts and that of all the faithful to spread this devotion.
May 1 is the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker. He is a significant part of the messages delivered to Sr. Mary Ephrem and is a perfect example of the call to purity. Please be sure to read and meditate on the section of the messages from St. Joseph starting on page six of the message book. (The message book is downloadable at no charge from the web site www.ourladyofamerica.com). In connection with the work of The Center and all the faithful to spread this devotion, we ask you to join with us in this nine day novena to St. Joseph starting today Sunday 22nd of April.
Please pray for America to respond to all the requests of Our Lady of America in collaboration with our Bishops. Please pray for all those whose work to spread this devotion, that their efforts will be made fruitful and multiplied beyond their wildest hopes. Please pray also that your own intentions are answered through the intercession of Our Lady of America and Her most chaste spouse, St. Joseph.
There are no greater intercessors then Our Lady and St. Joseph. The Center continues to work to fulfill Our Lady’s requests in collaboration with the Bishops. We are very hopeful that this year will yield a great spread of this devotion throughout our country. Intercessory prayer is now needed for this work to be successful. Please join us in this novena!
May Jesus bless you and Our Lady of America intercede for you!

It seems a strange coincidence that this website started just before the end of the year and now the official site is reporting a dramatic rise in traffic and orders for devotionals since the beginning of the year. I wonder why......

After all the whining comments from back in the beginning from people who were trying to shoot OLTIV's efforts down, it makes you wonder who is supporting who here.

I think this website is great! If it were not for the many thoughtful articles and history that has been discussed here, I would never have become a part of this devotion at all.

I will send an email to get the St. Joseph Novena now.

I was thinking the same thing when I got my email from the OLOA Center last night. I think this website has helped generate so much more traffic because of the frequncy of the updates. I know of so many people I have been able to turn on to OLOA because of this website and the community that has developed within it.

The St. Joseph Novena is wonderful. I never knew there was such a thing before seeing it on this site. I guess it was promoted by the ourladyofamerica center but they don't even have it on their website. That baffles me a bit, but much of how this has all been promoted for several years baffles me.

I hope the Bishops are lining up and getting ready to march in solemn procession with Our lady of America into the national Shrine. If so, I'll gladly hold the doors open for them.

Like they say at NASCAR races "Boogity-Boogity! Let's go racing!" This can't happen fast enough for me.
