"The Water Will Have No Virtue Without Faith."
There have been repeated testimonials on this blog and elsewhere regarding the healing effects of the spring water which flows freely from Sylvan Springs. Comparisons have been made to the healing effects of the water from the springs in Lourdes, France.
This waterfall (1st photo) is the source of the spring water at Sylvan Springs which has been compared to the water from Lourdes, France (2nd photo) where Our Lady appeared to Bernadette.
One couple has reported success in their efforts to stop smoking and commit to sobriety, in part, due to their daily consumption of a small glass of water from these springs. Another woman reported her daughter was cured of a terrible digestive tract disorder after drinking the water. Still others have told us of various other maladies that have been eliminated in the course of their drinking the water or applying it to afflicted body parts.
Aside from the element of water in the equation, all of the aforementioned testimonials included two other MAJOR elements. Let us assess just what they have all told us was involved.
WATER
Is there anything miraculous about the water? Probably not any more than any other medal, cross, relic, or artifact anywhere else on this earthly plane.

FAITH
Every testimony described the fact that in addition to the water, each of the people asked Our Lady of America to intercede on their behalf. Some placed the picture of Our Lady of America at the end of their beds or in a prominent place in their home (like a cross or blessed palm?) to serve as a constant reminder and help strengthen them in their efforts of.....
PRAYER
Every testimonial also had an element of fervent prayer in it.
When you put all 3 elements together it becomes more powerful than any man could imagine.
St. Bernadette said, "One must have faith and pray, the water will have no virtue without faith."
St. Bernadette drank the water and washed her face with it. Our Blessed Mother has granted favors in conjunction with its use. Just like Lourdes, the water from these springs is something external meant to encourage and help our prayers and good works. Aside from that, people think it tastes pretty good and it sure does a good job of quenching your thirst...physical and spiritual.

I'm praying and I'm faithful that I will be able to visit and drink the water and wash my face as Bernadette did.

My father has been doing remarkably better since he was given water from Rome City along with the book of messages and a medal of Our Lady of America.
We had heard of this place from others at our Church who knew someone connected with Othe movement whose own grandchild was healed miraculously. I believe it is the combination of all three elements as this article says. Without the faith, you're all wet.
This is so true. Too often we hear of people who feel there is some magical element to any of these healings when it really is about the faith and submission to God's will which allows the Holy Spirit to heal us.
May Our Lady of America intercede for us.
I believe in Our Lady's plans for this place very much. I wish I was able to travel more easily so I could visit.
Do you plan to ship or sell the water? If so I would like to buy some. I will add my own faith and prayers as i have plenty on hand already :) I hope it isn't going to be as much as the Lourdes water they sell online at other websites.

Very good comparison indeed. I know this place is on Our Lady's "to-do" list. We need to stay on course and keep all three elements in mind as we pray for the healing of others and the salvation of those souls all around us in need of help.
I love this place and I pray for it every day. Stay positive everybody. I feel things are moving and we need to be ready.

We will all be blessed with the miracles of the water, and the faith and belief of miracles to happen; but with the recitation of the daily Rosary we will also have the full protection of our souls!!

It was a beautiful day in Rome City today. The building was closed but we made a walk to the hill and filled our bottles with water. This IS God's own little garden by the highway. We will be back for more. I cannot wait to see inside.
Received a text message from my wife to stop by Rome City on my drive back to Rockford, IL to get some water from the waterfalls on this property.
I pulled into the main parking lot and needed to check some notes on my laptop when I saw that I had a WIFI connection. I am writing this from my car in the main parking lot. Very handy!
As I was driving in I saw a man working on machinery in the garage. His name is Larry, and he says he is the "chief cook and bottle washer around here". Turns out he and his wife own the place.
Let me say this much: this family needs help to keep this place open for people like me. I can't believe these people are doing this without major help.
I saw the big chapel where the apparitions took place. It is stunning. Larry promises it will be evn more precious and inspiring once he gets the proper backing to restore it to how it was when Sr. Nuezil was here. I also saw the little chapel Larry built at the opposite end of the building. You can tell this guy really cares about what he is doing and why Our Lady needs this place.
I filled my jugs and got more than I bargained for when I stopped. Larry ahd just come in for the day to check things while it was warm out. This place is absolutely beautiful. I can only imagine how it will be when it is all done.
My wife will be so jealous, but I will certainly be bringing her back with some friends in May for one of the overnite pilgrimages. I just can't say enough. I will try to comment more later when I get home.
