Our Lady of Lourdes and Our Lady of America, Part II

The Blessed Mother proclaimed to Bernadette in l858 "I am the Immaculate Conception." The Blessed Mother proclaimed to Sr. Neuzil in 1956 "I am Our Lady of America."

The Blessed Mother asked Bernadette to come to the grotto every day for two weeks. She told Bernadette that if she did as she was asked, that she could not promise Bernadette happiness in this life, but she would promise it in the next. Sr. Neuzil was promised, that if we did as Our Lady asked, there would be miracles granted greater than those at Lourdes or Fatima...net necessarily physical miracles, but spiritual.

Young Bernadette, the messenger of the Immaculate, followed the Blessed Mother's wishes and visited the grotto daily. Sr. Neuzil also followed the Blessed Mother's wishes and wrote the messages down and obediently told her Bishop of Our Lady's requests.

At one of the apparitions, Our Lady told Bernadette to scratch at the muddy earth and to drink and wash from an invisible stream of water. Later the stream became visible to all. It was discovered to have miraculous healing powers that would attract hundreds of millions of people from around the world. Our Lady told Sr. Neuzil to have statues and medals made...the springs were in place and already being used for healing.

Our Blessed Mother told Bernadette that she came primarily to tell the world of her Son's message of repentance and prayer for the conversion of humanity. Our Lady told Sr. Neuzil that the hour was growing late.

Has Her miraculous plea as Our Lady of Lourdes been so needed as in our own times? Are we at an urgent crossroad where She has needed to echo and expand Her messages as Our Lady of America?

That first year of 1858, three miraculous cures took place. The reputation of Lourdes as a place of healing grew rapidly. There have been numerous healings reported at Sylvan Springs although none have been determined to be "miraculous" yet except by some close family members and dumb-founded personal physicians.

As with all miracles performed by Jesus, He did so not to show His power but to convince mankind that God exists.

Six million pilgrims come to Lourdes each year. The multitudes come from around the world - the sick, the poor, the downtrodden, the psychologically confused, the spiritually wrought, and the never-ending handicapped. The same types of people make their way to Sylvan Springs each year and the numbers grow. Sylvan Springs has a lot of catching-up to do to match the numbers being attracted by Lourdes at this time.

The grace one receives on a pilgrimage to Lourdes varies from person to person. Some people come for physical healings and instead they receive the needed grace to bear the Cross God has given them (spiritual healings). The same types of things have been reported by visitors to Sylvan Springs on this forum and in private.

The addicted come for release from demons and find the resolve, with God's grace, to miraculously abandon their vices ("have you folks met Harold & Irene yet?").

Some people come following Mary's call for an increase of faith; they return home renewed spiritually and sometimes, not-so-surprisingly, physically well.

The fallen away come to Lourdes for proof of the existence of God and their prayers are answered through the gift of the Sacrament of Confession and repentance. Someday this may be the blessing bestowed upon Sylvan Springs once again.

Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen once said: "At Lourdes, each afternoon, in the procession of the Blessed Sacrament, the bishop or priest, carrying the monstrance, walks among the sick, blessing them. It is then that the cures and the miracles of grace usually take place. Mary brings her children to her divine Son and it is he who works the miracles." ("Bring me my children, bring me all of my children." This was the request reportedly made of the current property owner by Our Lady in 2001).

There are said to be thousands more physical healings every year that have never been officially documented at these places; however, those with eyes to see have clearly seen these healings.

It is said that the Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen would never visit Europe without making a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Lourdes. Archbishop Sheen said often, "If you are devoted to Our Lady, you will never lose your soul." He was also a regular visitor to the Springs in Rome City, staying for several days to sit and visit with the guests and priests on retreat.

The Immaculate Virgin knows the secret ways by which grace operates in souls and the silent work of the supernatural in this world.

The spiritual proportions of Lourdes are better measured today, compelling the world's wealthy, famous, poorest and lowly alike to drink and bathe in the miraculous springs. Is this the same calling She has made for Her site in Rome City? If so, can it handle the anticipated traffic?

Good Question.

Is There Enough Water?

The Lourdes spring is estimated to produce 30,000 gallons of water each day after 150 years. Sylvan Springs produces a little over 70,000 gallons each day and has been doing so for centuries.

Studies have shown that the Lourdes water is pure and contains chlorides of soda, lime and magnesia, bicarbonates of lime and magnesia, silicates of lime and aluminium, oxide of iron, sulphate of soda, phosphate, and organic matter. Otherwise, it is believed by modern scientists to contain no therapeutic ingredients. The Sylvan Springs water is actually more pure although it has many of the same, but fewer, very minute trace elements found at Lourdes. Sylvan Springs water is also not believed to contain any therapeutic ingredients as would be confirmed by modern scientific standards.

Is There Enough Land?

The entire Lourdes shrine sits on 51 hectares (126 acres). Sylvan Springs is over 50% larger at 80 hectares (almost 200 acres).

Let me first apologize to Larry and his wife (the owners of the Rome City property) if they feel this letter is out of line, but after a very stressful night I have to say this or I will not be able to go on with my day.

I am your typical father of two who beats the highway each week to provide for his family as a factory rep.

I had the great fortune to stop by Rome City, IN yesterday and happened to meet the owner who took the time out of his busy day to show me around and help me get some water from the spring on the property (fascinating). My wife and I had been aware of the Our Lady of America apparitions for several years now. We first heard about it at a Medjugorje conference at Notre Dame. Since that time we had read just about every article available on the topic and have written every Bishop in the US. Until yesterday, I had never been to the actual site of these apparitions.

After thinking about my experience during my long drive home, I truly believe the Holy Spirit brought me there yesterday for a reason beyond my basic interest in OLOA and the history of this site. I needed to meet this man and learn the facts so I could help get the word out and let people know the great sense of urgency I feel about this place.

I had already commented yesterday on how beautiful the place is, so I won't re-hash those details. I did want to add that the guest rooms are beyond anything you would imagine for any retreat site. Larry told me there are three levels of housing available. There are the private guest rooms with their own baths which have King or Queen beds and then there are the real basic rooms with single bunk beds that have community baths and showers centrally located. There are also 8 townhouses with six bedrooms and a kitchen. He has done a craftsman-like job of rehabbing the facility.

I can see this place really being able to accomodate groups of all kinds for unity retreats and spiritual growth and education. But I sense these folks are in dire need of help to make this happen or it may be lost to private developers who have no concern for the spiritual significance and impact this place is destined for. I had a very distressing dream about this very possibility last night and I awoke with a sickening feeling in my heart.

My comments may be out of line but I really felt something yesterday when I was walking through the building. My wife and I prayed on it last night and at church again this morning. I never go to Mass during the week but I needed to go this morning. I got my answer.

These people are trying to do what Our Lady has asked them to do. Their job is not to get the statue in the National Shrine in Washington, D.C.. It is to prepare this place for people like you and me who do not have the means and ability to travel to Europe to visit places like Fatima or Lourdes. Who knows if it will even be practical, or possible, in the coming years? The two objectives are seperate but tandem issues. It has already been discussed in articles on this website but when you visit for yourself you will understand why it is all connected.

Larry told me he is not a "real churchy person" and that most people are surprised about how "normal" he is. I believe him. I also believe he is one of the most faithful people I have ever met. Not because he was praying or anything but because he had a commitment I found inspiring. I could sense there was much he was not able to say to me but he did not need to say it because I could feel it.

What is needed is for someone or some group to step forward and show the same admirable commitment with their financial support. When I asked about the money and if anyone was helping, he said that many wealthy good-intentioned people had visited and shown interest in acquiring the property for this work but that nobody had taken the step to commit as of yet. He said the property needs to be owned by a not for profit and that he was hopeful that Our Lady the Immaculate Virgin or some other group would be able to develop the resources to take things to the next level. He and his wife are more than willing to work with the right people to make this happen. He also mentioned that significant tax advantages were available for the right person or group. He doesn't care for church politics, and who can blame him, but he wants to do the right thing and make this place available for people to use in the way God has always intended.

When I entered the big chapel, I could hear an interior voice speak to me. It said "Thank you for answering my call. Bring me my children". I fell to my knees on the altar area in front of the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes. I didn't want to leave. This is the same area that had been shown in photos on this website with the orbs of light and cloudy auras. I recognized it instantly and felt it like nothing I have ever felt before.

I do not know where I go from here. I have no money. The IRS can vouch for that. I know there are people who can help out there and I am asking for your help in stepping forward. Money won't help the Bishops to put the statue in the National Shrine but it will help keep this place available for people, like me, who will be forever changed by having visited this place.

Please pray on it and do what you can. Thank you for your time in reading this.

This is quite remarkable. Our Lady is calling us all to respond to Her pleading. I am pained by the stress this family must be feeling with this great responsibility.

Thank you GM for sharing in such an open and honest testimony. I was quite touched by your own experience. May you receive the peace of the Holy Spirit for having done such an eloquent job in relating your feelings.

Pray for this family that they are given the help they need and pray for Our Lady of America.

I also would like to make a comment regarding Larry and his wife, who is a lovely person who supports her husband entirely in the quest for the Springs to be a place for people to come and share the graces and blessings of Our Lady and Her Son.

I also hope my letter is not out of line. I have been wanting to write it for quite some time, but it took GM from Rockford to spur me on.

When I first met Larry, it was quite in the familiar way GM from Rockford met him. I came uninvited and just expected to be able to come and walk in and get the $2.00 tour. Presumptious to say the least, but my friend and I did not know what to expect. Instead of a tour guide, I found a very exhuasted, yet friendly man with a genuine smile working on a troubled tractor so he could work the land. He mentioned the facility was not opened to the public but we could walk the land, drink from the Springs and go up to Holy Family Hill where the sun is known to spin and many wonderful prayer hours have been spent for many people. He spoke to us at quite some length and then left us on our own. Stressed out from the exhaustion of the labor he did daily, almost entirely on his own, and also from the lack of funds to run a facility like this, I saw a young weary man who still had his faith for Our Lady's wishes. He was exhausted physically as he had been keeping true to Our Lady's request to prepare this place for what Our Lady wanted and asked of him. Only this family knows the sacrifices they have made in the last 7 years; but there have been many, and most who go there know these sacrifices are not for naught.

A churchy man, GM is correct he is not, but a good Catholic who is one of the most spiritual men I have ever met he is! I am sure GM and all who have met Larry feel the same. How can he be at church daily and in constant prayer when he spends his time, mainly alone, taking care of the grounds and buildings on this site? Yet Our Lady Chose HIM to purchase and try to complete the Springs for the use She, I believe, wanted.

GM is correct: The owners need support not only physically from those that can help, but especially financially. Their sacrifices has been great and they just keep trying to hang on for Our Lady of America and for our sake.

It is time for all of us to get off of our duffs, excuse the vernacular, and assist financially or/and physically with helping them. Only Larry would know how we could do that. But money is always a good place to start. Small donations can begin to build into larger ones, and larger donations from ones who have the money would be the blessings to get this moving quickly.

Please do not go there expecting a tour from the owner for he is a very busy man, and the grounds are not opened during part of the year. It is not affordable to be able to do that.

But do go there and walk the 200 acres, drink the water from the Springs, and say a prayer up on Holy Family Hill. You can't miss it. It will have the statue of the Holy Family on the top of the hill. You might even see the sun spin!! You might take your camera and catch a miracle of angels waiting patiently for thousands to come and spend much time up there for the safety of their souls !!

God bless you all who are able to help in anyway, for Larry will not ask personally for himself.

May Our Lady the Immaculate Virgin keep you safe and steadfast!

I am deeply saddened by the fact that I have nothing to give financially to help this man and his family on behalf of Our Lady.
I wish there were something more that I could do besides pray for the right person to intervene at this time. I know Our Lady is working on this and She will touch the heart of the right people who will respond to Her call.

GM's testimony of hearing "Thank you for answering my call. Bring me my children", made me get goosebumps all over. I had just read the current article where the current owner was told to "Bring me my children. Bring me all of my children." and now GM is hearing the same thing during his visit except that the beginning of his message is like the Medjugorje messages where Our Lady always says "Thank you for responding to my call."

This proves to me that all of these are linked and that Our Lady is working very hard to reach us.

I will pray for everyone involved in this effort and for all that still needs to be accomplished.

Very enlightening comparative analysis. The similarities are almost endless.

Another comparison could also be made for Bernadette and what this family are going through. Much suffering to bring about the greater good of Our Lord's will at the behest of Our Lady.

After reading all these wonderful comments today, especially about Larry and his wife, I was extremely touched and humbled. Even though I do not have an abundance of funds, I mailed my small contribution today in hopes that every little dollar will help keep this place alive and ready for all the little people to visit and share Our Lady's special place.

I encourage each of you to send a small token, each dollar will add up and help these wonderful people that were chosen to do Our Lady's work. God Bless,

For those of us who may not have as much as fifty dollars to give towards Our Lady's cause; please know those amounts registered are for online donations.

There is also an address when you hit donations on the side of the posts that you can send a check or cash for as little as 1.00, if that is all you have. Please do not feel the amount must be high to be worthy. Anything given by any of us is worthy in Our Lady's eyes.

Remember this is for Our Lady of America, not for the owners!! But, I am sure, they along with Our Lady will appreciate any small amount anyone is able to give.

Do not be emabarrased with your tithing ever, it is support of something you believe in, and you are doing the best you can at that particular time.

God bless you for any help that you are able to do.

I have been following Our Lady of America for about ten years now. I have never been as excited about the prospects of this movement as much as I have been in the past year. This website has been a great catalyst for me and others in promoting this cause. Thank you for providing it. I read the comments and articles several times a week and I look forward to reading the personal accounts because it shows me just how wonderful Our Lord and Our Lady are working to connect with us and guide us in our ways. Now it is my turn to share my story and join in this plea.

During my rosary this morning before Mass I was praying the Glorious Mysteries to which I have added a sixth private Glorious Mystery called "The Blessed Mother Calls To Us In Apparitions". During my sixth mystery, I had such a feeling of enlightenment fall over me I was nearly overwhelmed with excitement. I was dwelling on Our Lady of America and I suddenly realized what I believe Our Lady meant in her call to the owners of this property and GM who says he had the interior voice say "...Bring me my children."

Our Lady had said to Sr. Mildred:

“Come to me, my children, come to me and learn. There is much I would teach you. It is for your own
happiness and eternal salvation. Do not disregard the voice of your Mother. It is the voice of love
trying to save you from eternal ruin."

"I wish to gather about me, my tender child, soldier and valiant bearer of the torch, an army of brave lovers, who as my torchbearers will enkindle the fire of Divine Love in the souls of men. Only those who are strong in love can become my soldiers to bear aloft, not the sword of destruction, but the sword of fire, the flaming torch of Divine Charity."

“O my sweet child, when will my desires be realized?"

I believe that She has chosen this place as a gathering place for enlightenment and formation. Just look at all of the evidence that has been brought forth by all kinds of visitors both past and present.

It grieves me to hear of the weight this one couple is attempting to bear by themselves for the sake of Our Lady of America. I am certain Larry and his family have been chosen for a reason but this is not how it should be that they should be so burdened for our benefit. If we truly believe in what these messages from Our Lady are calling us to reform in our lives, and we believe the personal testimony and volumes of historical legacy of this apparition site, we should be helping to shoulder the load to help manifest an even greater awareness of the wishes of Our Lady through the use of this site. She wants us to bring Her children, that would be us, to Rome City. There, She will help you connect with what it is you need but only if you keep the faith and prayer elements first. It is just like the previous article said: Without faith, there is no virtue in the water.

We need to stay on course with the Bishops for approval but we also need to do what we can to help with the work this place has been ordained to do.

GM, T.W., and JStolle and all of the previous comments are correct. We need to offer our support to these people. By doing so we give our support to Our Lady who had said that anyone who helps in promoting Our Lady of America will be remembered.

I will be sending my contribution soon. I ask anyone who has the means to help these people do the same. If you have been one of the more fortunate people in this life who has gathered wealth, I beg of you to open your heart and your checkbook with a generous contribution to help this effort. Souls are at stake. Your money will do you no good but it could just help provide the miracle of faith that helps saves countless souls and helps Our Lady fulfill Her wishes.

Please do what you can and pray for the guidance to do what is best.

I have known this couple socially for over ten years. Long before Larry took this project on.

Larry was always the guy people went to when they had a tough job to do. He was an auctioneer who was always helping the old people with no family around. He did the crappy jobs nobody would touch and I always kidded him about being the garbage man but i knew he was doing it because nobody else would help these people. I always admired him for his convictions.

One day I stopped by and he was having huge truckloads of soil deposited in the retention area behind his house so he could groom the rocky and unlevel area for kids to play. He did it all by hand and put up all his own money because the village wouldn't help with seed and fertilizer. All for the kids in the community. I told him he was nuts! Now, it is used regularly for soccer practices and softball games. I don't think anyone from the community ever thanked him or helped with the costs, but he never said a word because it needed to be done and made the place better for the community.

When our community wanted to build a new playground and funds were not being raised fast enough, he donated his time and effort to holding an auction at the firehouse to raise the money. He even went further and used his connections with friends on the Chicago Bears and hosted a huge barbecue in his backyard with a band to raise even more money.

This couple doesn't even have kids but they sure do care an awful lot about people and doing what needs to be done. This is one of those special couples who you always remember.

I had fallen out of touch with these folks for several years when I ran across larry at the grocery store a couple months back. I knew he had been spending all his time in Indiana working to save some old campus. He told me about what was going on and you could just see in his face that it was a tremendous weight on him but he was still tremendously optimistic. He has always been one of the most optimistic people I have ever met.

I never knew about all of this stuff with the Virgin Mary at this place until he told me about it that day. I am not a catholic (lutheran) but if Larry says this is happening then I believe him. He said it's not just for catholics and that it is open for anyone who is just looking for whatever it is they are looking for. That made sense to me. I went to this website and started reading and learning. This is all very compelling and I have shared the many moving stories with my family. We can all use a little miracle in our lives can't we?

I had never felt any need to comment until I read these comments about Larry and Lynn and the help they need.

Having known this guy for so long I can actually say that he would never ask for money for himself. If he was ever given anything to use for any cause he would try to give people more than they expected in return.
If the Virgin Mary has chosen this guy then she knew exactly who she was picking beforehand. The guy gets things done.

I don't want this to be some rah-rah moment for Larry because he would be upset with me if I made it into that. I just want you to know that this guy is one of the most "together" people I have ever met. He is always giving and many people may say that is his worst fault because it is obviously wearing him out. I can see the difference in him these past few years. I am sure he would say it is all worth it. I know he would never say otherwise. He's that kind of guy. When you see him talk about the changes he has witnessed in people who have been brought to this place and the miracles he has witnessed it is almost too much for someone like me to comprehend but I know it is happening too.

When I asked him if he is trying to sell the place, he says it has to go to the right group who will do what is necessary. He always says he is just "getting the place ready for what is coming next." He always says it like he knows something he isn't allowed to tell you.

All I can say is that if he ever finishes his work in Indiana he will be more than welcome back here in Illinois. We can all use more guys like him.

If the Virgin Mary had chosen this "Larry" guy she probably would have appeared to him. The fact that she didn't appear to him says alot.

People should not give their hard earned money to this corporation. They should donate it to their local parish.

God bless you all and protect you from scams such as the corporation of the lady of the U.S.

I am offering this suggestion, not as any comparison to any other place, but I thought it might be a helpful contact to Larry and his wife. I am familiar with another place (former major seminary and Archbishop's home - Cincinnati area) that was inspired by messages and visionary that was also in disrepair, needing a lot of work through volunteers and donations - sleeping rooms, heating/plumbing systems, landscaping, chapels, etc. Now after many years and after public recognition through some miraculous events, filmed by the local news, this place has become a refuge for people and priests from all over. They are still in need of people donating to refurbish rooms, landscaping, systems, etc. but now so much is going on there. It began with the inspiration from Our Lady to two older priests - one a devotee of Medjugorje and a special friend to Little Audrey, the beautiful suffering victim soul, now so well known, in Massachusetts.

Anyway, I thought Larry might wish to contact the people from this other site that Our Mother has established through her faithful children and see how they began their mission. I know they have a newsletter that includes the calendar of events for the month (healing masses; chaplets; rosary; adoration, etc.) and they list what is still needed for people to donate towards. You can sponsor the refurbishment of a retreat room for instance or just paint for a bathroom or a tree. Perhaps those involved with OLOA could get some help and advice from this other struggling and giving group of our Lady's helpers.

You can read about this other spot here:

http://www.olhsc.org/prayers.html

http://www.olhsc.org/room.html

I believe that our Lady is getting many places of refuge ready for the hard times that will come before the New Era of Her Triumph. They are now East, West, Middle. All we need do is help one another prepare. God bless.

To Anonymous-

it is obvious you have absolutely no clue as to what is going on.

first of all, you are in no position to have any idea what has gone on between the Virgin Mary and Larry. the fact he is quiet about these things and working 16 hour days while being separated from his wife for long periods of time shows he is being QUITE virtuous and obedient. FYI: he has gone on the record as far back as 2001 declaring he had a "mystical experience" (choice of words probably prompted by a competent spiritual director) where he was told of the as-yet-to-occur attacks which became 9/11. this was documented on spiritdaily by Michael Brown and is fairly common knowledge to anyone who has been doing their homework. we do not know what else he was told.

Let me ask you this: wouldn't it have to be something pretty darned important to keep a guy away from his home for so long doing something he knew people like you would end up trying to lynch him for? I think the guy has DEFINITELY been given this task by Our Lady and he is doing a great job. the time has come where "the time has come".

so, unless you have it on higher authority from the Blessed Mother Herself, it is probably best not to go there because you don't know anything about anything for sure.

as far as anybody making any donations to the "corporation", that is so far from having any potential truth it is laughable.

all donations for these efforts are made to Our Lady the Immaculate Virgin, Inc. which is a legitimate 501(c)(3) not-for-profit which uses the money to help off-set expenses associated with their own sponsored programs at this facility.

up until now, this couple has been footing all the bills for the thousands of people who visit throughout the summer and never leave a dime in the contribution boxes to help with the upkeep of the grounds that they have set aside and built for the visitors.

OLTIV is attempting to change all that and acquire the property from Larry and his wife so it can be run in accordance with Canon law and a religious order can be brought in who may be able to run it as a retirement home for aging religious while letting it serve its higher purpose as a place of special devotion and spiritual formation.

this family is making every effort to help accomodate the transfer while foresaking potentially huge profits from the water resources in the process. they have prepared these resources to be available to support OLTIV's ongoing work at this incredible property in years to come. sounds like a devious "corporate" plot if I ever heard one. "get the rope, let's string 'em up".

"Anonymous"-

you must be a very sour and bitter person. I am certain Our Lady is saddened by your cynical disposition. Just as I am sure Our Lady is willing to forgive, so am I and many others in this community. I can't speak for some of the others who are more inclined to rip the spine right out of your back at this moment.

if we all felt as you do, none of us would give any more money to our parishes because "it would all end up being given to some 50 year old man who claimed he was molested by a priest 40 years ago." fortunately, most of us are guided by faith and that allows us to see the light in these situations while you may prefer to sit in the lonely darkness of your own miserable perceptions.

if larry is due a fair price for his property, then he should be given his fair price. you wouldn't want the Church, or anyone acting on its behalf, taking unfair advantage now would you? that wouldn't be right. if somebody who has had good fortune in this life decides he/she is capable of helping out, why shouldn't they be allowed to do just that without your counterfeit two-cents worth of opinion casting dispersions upon their choice?

if you are so dead set against this movement and the attempts by this family to do what is right, why don't you offer a plan to help accomplish Our Lady's wishes and help the countless numbers of faithful pilgrims who are yearning for this very thing within easy reach of their homes.

I applaud the efforts of all who are supporting this cause and I pray for the miserable people like "anonymous" who have made a deliberate decision to cast the possibility that the Holy Spirit may be working through these people out of the realm of heavenly possibilities.

This is definitely needed for our country and I personally appreciate everything this family is doing by way of their sacrifices to do what Our Lady has asked of them.

I see the many benefits that are being bestowed are just the beginning of what Our Lady has planned.

Any reasonable person can see this is not a hoax on anyone's part. If it was, it started back in 1895 and the good Archbishop John Noll is one of the people we need to blame first for starting this whole ball rolling. This is just a preposterous notion.

GOD WORKS IN VERY MYSTERIOUS WAYS. I AM CERTAIN THIS FAMILY HAS WITNESSED MANY THINGS AND IS BEING VERY CONSERVATIVE IN NOT PUTTING EVERYTHING ON THE 6 O'CLOCK NEWS.

I have it on good authority that the good men who are currently guiding the "official" movement of OLOA with America's Bishops are still very interested in acquiring this property from this family. They began the process over a year ago and then withdrew due to lack of funding and organization. Thank heavens this group with Our Lady the Immaculate Virgin has come forward to continue the effort.

This is how God works. When one door closes, a window opens. We need to help knock down the walls so more people can join the march.

Please join me and the others who have commented in sending some help to this organization to help fulfill Our Lady of America's plans. I believe in their mission and feel that there will someday be a magnificent gathering place of faithful pilgrims from all over this great continent.

I can assure you that this place is for real and is Holy Ground. I have spent many hours with Larry, his wife and mom and dad. They are very good people who are answering the call of Our Lady. This project is a huge undertaking. Look at the picture of the facility and you will have a better understanding. They need our help and need it now. This can be our way of answering the same call of Our Lady. Our Lord and His mother can not be outdone in generosity.

To Anonymous,

Go back to the archives of Jan, 07 and you will see that a vision of Our Lady of America was given that night during prayer time to a person at the Chapel where Our Lady appeared to Sister Mildred. You will also see that there was a miracle almost directly after that vision and these two people had told no one at the time that one had a vision and inner locution from OLOA and the other had a healing by touching the statue of OLOA that Our Lady asked another man to carve in several different dreams She gave him during a prior time period. (These dreams were given to a man who could only draw stick people and had no prior art talent or art lessons!)

Our Lady contacts people in many different ways. Sometimes it's in visions, sometimes in dreams, sometimes in inner locutions, sometimes through converstions and miracles of the body, and sometimes sending Her messengers in real body to the people she is trying to reach. No one but Larry knows how Our Lady is coming to him, but look at the fruits since he took the land and buildings over!! Much of these communications such as the vision, locutions, converstions, healings and dreams and visits from messengers have come since that time to several differemt people.

We will pray for you, and your critical feelings, that you do have a right to, but you also need to be open to the possiblity this is nothing close to a scam, but the work of Our Lady of America. Most,if not all, of these people who have had a vision, dreams, locutions, and healings and conversions have spiritual directors they are speaking to and have informed their bishops of these happenings. They have put themselves out there for the persecution when it wil come; and you can be sure it will. (As we see Larry has already been dealing with it.) I don't think this type of thing would be considered a scam. Why would all these different people want their lives torn apart by the Vatican and Bishops of the Catholic Church publicly?? Is there not a better way to scam people and get what you want than to possibly go through what the children of Medjegori have gone through and all the other messengers of the Blessed Mother since the time of Christ?

May the Holy Spirit open your heart and mind to the possibility that this is very, very real, and no one is making any of this up.

You will be in my prayers daily!

Isn't it rather strange that, despite the claims of miracles alleged to be happening around this place in Indiana, none of the people living around that area have reported any miracles...at least none that I know of. The alleged apparitions are claimed to have occurred over 50 years ago...after such a lengthy stretch of time one would expect that there would have been many miracles experienced by the people who live in the area, but there are none.

Why do you suppose that is???

It is clear that the reason that none of the neighbors have reported any miracles is because there is nothing there of the miraculous. It is a spiritually empty place. The talk of apparitions is a just a gimmick to generate interest in the property to make more money off of it.

It is best for all of you to forget about this gimmicky lady of the U.S. real estate scam and concentrate on helping your local parish. Do the things that Our Lady has asked of us. Pray the rosary...fast...do penance...go to confession...receive the Holy Eucharist...and thereby replace Our Bessed Mother's tears with a smile.

God bless you all!

Larry and Lynn & family-

Thank you for answering Our Lady's call. I admire you for your humility in the midst of this overwhelming task.

I attended one of the prayer meetings a few years ago and I listened to Larry speak for a bit and answer questions. I could tell right then that he had been chosen for this work and that he was being guided. I could see a sparkling light surrounding him. Maybe it was my eyes, but another woman reported seeing it too.

There were certain things he would not discuss regarding revelations and I found this quite obedient to Our Lady's quest and Church rule. He was being directed by a good old priest named Fr. Haevel who was living with him at the time.

I can vouch for these people as being solid Catholics who would not stoop to any such scam as has been accused by this crazy person on this page.

I am praying for all of you and especially Larry and his wonderful family.

Just goes to show you haven't done your homework again. You get an "F" on this again.

There have been many instances of people reporting wonderful graces and healings over the years. Some have been on this website...you should try reading a little more. Unfortunately, most of the people living in the area now are no longer Catholic and so they report to their Baptist or Protestant preachers and not to the local priest or Bishop. This area was over 90% Catholic at one time. Now it is less than 6%.

This property was also owned by a fanatic religious cult for over 25 years. The new owners have had to deal with all that bad stuff too. Nobody mentions those battles for Our Lord they have fought.

You just hang on to your mixed-up factual garbage bag. None of it makes sense if you knew what you were talking about. This was going on long before these people came along (or were even born).

You said the following:
"It is clear that the reason that none of the neighbors have reported any miracles is because there is nothing there of the miraculous. It is a spiritually empty place."

I happen to live outside of Kendallville, In just a few miles from Rome City and the "spiritually empty" place called Sylvan Springs. I grew up hearing all kinds of stories about wonderful things that happened there. I have seen the sun spin from on top of the hill. I can tell you, with no uncertainty, that you are so far from reality in your claims that I have to think you are really mentally unstable. I have a lifetime of basis for my claims. What are you basing yours on?

That pretty much says it all. If there had actually been apparitions of the Blessed Virgin at this place Catholics would never have abandoned it, Our Lady would have seen to it. Who would know better than the Catholics who lived in the area whether or not Our Lady had appeared in that place?

The Blessed Virgin has never appeared there and that is why Catholics have moved away. That should send a clear message to ALL of you! Stay away from there!

God bless you all and free from this lady of the U.S. deception!

Dear Anonymous,

I just knew you would jump on that Catholic percentage being low in the area that was mentioned. You were not lisiteining when the person said it was owned by a cult for a very long time. That would for sure have shewed Cathloics away!!

Maybe we need to be more open and privy to the information that, you can lead a horse to water, but not make them drink it. Our Lady and Her Son can give us the signs, and we can choose to see them and ask for discernment from the Holy Spirit, which most of us have done, or we can choose to make rash unreasonable judgements based on lack of complete knowledge of what is actually happening.

Do you think we are all so gullible that we would just run to this place because none of us have enough sense to question? Do you really believe that all of these people reading this have not questioned it and prayed about it before supporting it? Do you think that you are the only person with enough intelligence to gaurd against evilness?

Dear Anonymous read, this website and hear of the the converstions, the helaings, the love of the people gathering together in God's name to make this place what it once was; and know that God has given us all a free will. Jesus even told the sick he could not heal them if they did not believe.

How much do you know of chrisitianity and particularly Caholicism?? If you are one of informative knowledge and of good faith to care about all of us, than give us your name. Why hide behind your anonymous?? If not, than please take your concerns to those who very well may need them. We are all doing fine here.
Our Lady of America is protecting us as we believe in Her and say the Rosary daily, as She has asked.

Please leave us to our faith and love of Christ and His Mother, and please for your own sake think of going Adoration and Mass and praying for discernment from the Holy Spirit the way all of us have been; than come back with your information with something substantial to base it on. I believe you will start to see things differently if you just give God a chance to fill your heart and soutl!

In the meantime, God be with you and with your Spirit!!

You are too simple-minded to reason with.

The reason the Precious Blood sisters sold it was because they had no idea any of this was going on because Sr. Neuzil was being obedient and keeping her mouth shut as AB Leibold told her to do.

The Catholics in the area didn't move away. The Baptists and the protestants moved in from Kentucky and W. Virginia by the thousands to work in the factories and tool shops in the area and they now outnumber the catholics by a huge margin.

You are truly unaware of the real facts here. Maybe you should change your medications or something.

I was following the comments here and I wanted to point something out about KRIS' comment about "not feeding the troll". It wasn't being rude.

For those of you who may be unaware, on the internet, a "troll" is someone who purposefully tries to cause havoc on a site such as this by being disruptive and writing inflammatory comments designed to upset the well-intentioned members of the community. This has been the apparent tactic of this "anonymous" person.

The best way to defuse a "troll" is to ignore their banter and assign a name for them that the rest of the community can identify them by and then make reference to in later comments such as "don't be a (insert name)".

Does anybody have any good ideas for a name for this troll?

I submit the following for your consideration:

1. Satan
2. Pain In The Ass (PITA)

Dear Anonymous,

It is not necessary to call people names, since I am not simple minded. I am however the one who had the vision and inner locution at the Pilgrimage; and though that does not make me an expert on all of this it does put me somewhat close in touch in many ways with what is going on there--at least for me. All must experience it in their own way. Can I prove to you or anyone that my vision was real; no, not anymore than Bernadette could or the children of Medjugori could! But the fruits of my vision, the healings that have taken place for so many others who have prayed to Our Lady of America or gone to the Springs, the dreams from Our Lady to others, the many converstions of people who have been to the site, the Archbishops who are true believers in Our Lady of America and in what they are hearing from people are the things that are beginning to show the fruits of the true vision of Sister Neuzil, and the fruits of the communication so many others of us have had with our Lady in our own way since.

I don't want to argue with you, for even Jesus allowed all to believe what they wanted. I am just asking you to give us the same respect you are asking us of yourself. Listen to these people, since they are all sane mind to make up their own dicernment with the help of the Holy Spirit, as I did mine. No one is coercing anyone to give money or believe in this if they don't want to. We are sharing what we believe and not threatening damnation to those who choose to go their own way. This is a website to inform and to share with people of the same mind set. You do not have to protect any of us. But if you feel you need to, than pray for us. All of us would welcome that, because no matter what your intentions of your prayers for us, Our Lady and Her Son will use them for the good of all of us including you. It will be Their decision not yours or ours. That is how prayer works. This is being shared and left up to each individual to decide. Please give these people the respect and credit they are due. It is up to each individual to investigate, pray, discern and believe what they choose.

Please believe what you want too, but also let others have the same rights!

God bless,
In the name of Our Lady of America the Immaculate Virgin!!

Wouldn't it be more logical if more Catholics had moved in? If protestants were able to move in, Catholics could have moved in as well. If the alleged apparitions in that place had actually occurred, Catholics would have been drawn there at least in equal numbers to Protestants, and probably in greater numbers. It did not happen because there is no special "call" from Our Lady, and that is why after more than 50 years the place is almost completely devoid of Catholics.

Furthermore, if the Blessed Virgin Mary had actually appeared in that place it would NEVER have been sold to a "cult." Are you so unacquainted with the providence of God that you actually believe the Lord and His Blessed Mother would EVER have allowed a cult to acquire such a place. THINK! If Our Lady had actually been communicating with anyone there, as is claimed, don't you think she would have warned against selling the property into unworthy hands? This transfer into unchristian possession is more evidence that the Blessed Virgin never appeared there.

God bless you and help you to see the truth!

Dear Anonymous,

No matter what your next reply, this will be my last note to you.

You do not appear open to anything except your own anger you feel towards this.

I will quote you and than have my say and end this: you said: "Are you so unacquainted with the providence of God that you actually believe the Lord and His Blesses Mother would EVER have allowed a cult to acquire such a place."

My response is, are you so unacquainted with the providence of God that you actually believe the Lord has taken all of our free will away, that He alone gave us so He could control us? If you believe that, than when you take a look at our world you must believe there is no God---because what type of God would allow all of this to happen in our world? We have free will, and we have caused all of this in the past and present in our world out of greed and jealousy and anger! It is free will without the help of the Holy Spirit that puts us in the state of sin. We always, always, have a choice. I choose to use my free will with prayer and discernment in work with the Holy Spirit. We all are able to choose how to use our free will, as you are.

Again may you be blessed in the Precious Blood of Jesus during this Holy time of Lent!

Dear Anonymous ... oops! I meant PITA - everybody getting the "troll" meaning here yet?!

Who would know better than the Catholics who lived in the area whether or not Our Lady had appeared in that place?

The Blessed Virgin has never appeared there and that is why Catholics have moved away.

And as dear St. Paddy would say to ye in his lilting voice with the twinkle in his eye:

"And have ye, dear, made a visit of late to our beloved 'Holy Land' and inspected the number of Catholic folks living there these days? Not only did our dear Lady 'appear' there, certainly She did live there too. Now, just how could it then happen that the Catholic/Christian population ever moved away? Wouldn't the Lord Himself provide under all circumstances for such holy ground? Well, darlin PITA, by your justifications that area of blessing must also be a hoax!!"

Isn't it rather strange that, despite the claims of miracles alleged to be happening around this place in Indiana, none of the people living around that area have reported any miracles...at least none that I know of.

And again, dear St. Paddy, would answer ye this ... in his most lilting voice again:

"Me dear doubting Thomasina, and do ye hear the thousands of reports of THE MIRACLE happening daily just down the street in most neighborhoods when they have the Dear Divine Presence continually living there? No? I didn't think you could mention them either. So, I suppose then, by your reckoning, He just must not be in such purported places."

Kindly continue your interruptions. They only force the building up of the faith through proper thinking and reflection in the believers. Have you noticed how your interference has encouraged the witnessing? I'd count my few remaining chips of self righteous "faith" and get out before all is lost!

That's funny KRIS.

It just goes to show that some people never get it and will have a lot of 'splainin' to do when they finally get before the Judge.

I think KRIS is correct in that all this "PITA" has done is to spur on more testimony from other faithful pilgrims. It's kind of like putting manure around a shrub to help it blossom in the springtime.

Let us pray that it is this springtime when this movement for Our Lady of America finally blossoms and everyone comes to a full realization of what a naturally-gifted spiritual treasure we have in the aptly named Rome City.

Our Lady did say that anyone who helped foster this special devotion would be remembered. If there is a seating chart in heaven, I would like to put in for an aisle seat if that is O.K.

My mom and dad took us to visit the place in Rome City where Our Lady of America appeared today. It was really big and looked nice.

We drove around and then walked down to the waterfall where we filled some milk jugs with water for my grandmother who is sick. We drank some and it was real cold. Then we went to the hill where there is a big statue of Jesus Mary and Joseph. My dad said a few prayers and then we left. It was really neat and he said we can come back later.
I would like to stay and see inside next time.

I have been an avid proponent of Our Lady of America for several years now. I happened across it in some literature at the back of church one day. After reading about it and following it on spirit daily, I have always believed in Our Lady's plans for this wondrous place in Rome City. This past Fall I was told of a dear friend being stricken with cancer and immediately I felt I needed to get her some water from the springs and send it to her.

I drove over with another friend from church and we ended up meeting this man Larry there. He was so nice to stop his work and help us fill our bottles and talk with us about what he knew of Our Lady of America and some of the things that he had seen. When he learned of our mission on behalf of our friend, he gave us some medals of the Precious Blood which he said had been specially blessed by the tears of Our Lady along with his own Our Lady of America medallion which he had kept in his pocket. He said it was his last one but that he felt it was important for my friend to have it.

I sent it on to my friend along with the book and water. I told her to pray the rosary each day and ask Our Lady of America to intercede on her behalf in curing her cancer. I am excited to say she has been declared cancer free and is telling her pastor and Bishop of her healing by Our Lady of America. She wears the medals around her neck and prays the full rosary each day as he said for her to do.

I believe this man has been called to this mission and I will pray for him every day and for Our Lady of America and our Bishops.

Thank you Blessed Mother for all of your special gifts to us and especially for helping Marcia through her illness.

What a blessed day it was for three of us from Carmel, IN!

We met for Mass this morning and then drove to Rome City to see things for ourself. Absolutely gorgeous grounds. We could certainly feel Our Lady's presence while we prayed the rosary on the hill.

We filled our trunk with water and headed home. We were so filled with excitement and inspiration we were home before we knew it.

Our Lady of America chose a very lovely place. Thank you for leaving the gates open for us.

We had a lovely visit to Rome City this morning with another couple from our parish. We decided to drive up and see this place for ourselves. Very lovely and serene.

While there another family came by with their children and we shared a rosary together and took some photos on the hill by the statue.

It will be quite wonderful if/when there are more people to share the experience with.

We will be coming back.
