Coincidence... or Confirmation?

The following letter was submitted by ILK of Elkhart. Is this another happy coincidence or a definite confirmation?

Is it a coincidence that the names of the two medals involved in this event, the medal of The Precious Blood and the medal of The Immaculate Conception, are historically linked to the Rome City, IN facility where Our Lady of America chose to announce Herself?

Was this event designed to tell us that there would have been no Precious Blood without the Immaculate Conception and that they are inexorably linked by God's design?

On August 10, 2002 a friend brought her brother to my house for prayer. My wife and I along with our two guests were sitting at the kitchen table talking. On the table next to us was the statue of Our Lady of America that I carved out of alabaster.

While we were talking I had the inspiration to give the man who came for prayer, a triple medal of the Precious Blood that I keep on hand. This medal, taped to a small card, was touched to a page of the prayer book that Our Lady kissed at Garabandal, Spain. I also had on cotton in a pix like container, some tears of the Blessed Mother that appeared on a statue.

I slipped the medal out from under the tape and first touched one side of it to the tears and then turned it over and touched the other side to the tears. When I picked it up from inside this little container there was a Miraculous Medal (medal of the Immaculate Conception) attached to the triple medal at the little ring. The Miraculous Medal simply appeared out of nowhere.

I put one medal in and two medals came out. Was this another sign that Our Lady wants to be honored at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception?

What a great story. Our Lady is providing miracles of the spirit as She promised.

I notice there are some fairly significant changes in the way of "lawyer-speak" on the website now. Always a bad sign when the lawyers get involved with evangelization. Keep up the good work. I appreciate reading the encouraging letters and articles.

No real doubt in my mind as to this being a miracle!!!

We are receiving miracles daily and we just don't notice.

This particular person chose to make a free choice and notice how Our Lady and God is working within us. It shows us we need to all walk through our days keeping our hearts open to God; at least it does me.

A beautiful confirmation on the pleas of Our Lady!!

Thank you for sharing. It is stories like this that give us the tenacity to move forward for Our Lady of America!

I have been reading the postings on this website for a while now and I agree this is another miracle. I would love to sit and talk with this fellow from Elkhart someday soon. If I am not mistaken this is the same man who was at the first pilgrimage to Rome City for Our Lady of America where the man reported he was healed of a nerve problem after touching the statue that was carved out of alabaster. If this event happened in 2002, that tells me that Our Lady has been working through him for some time now. I salute him for his endurance in staying obedient to Our Lord and not going sensational as many times happens when these things occur. I don't know if I could stay quiet if it happened to me.

Thank you for sharing your story. You have no idea how much this helps me in my own walk.

I pray for the confirmation of Our Lady of America and for the conversion of all of us poor sinners.

The intro on this story really made me think about how all of this really is linked by God's Divine plan. Without the Immaculate Conception there would be no Precious Blood. We come to Jesus through Mary. How simply beautiful.

This is the same man who was at the first pilgrimage. I have had the pleasure of hearing him speak on a few occasions and he is one of those people who is truly being guided by the Holy Spirit. He gave a talk on the Eucharist one time that had me crying and sobbing in a bout of passion that I cannot describe. He really touched me. He is a HUGE advocate for Our Lady of America and he has been a fixture at Rome City since I came to know about this from attending one of the candlelit rosaries at Sylvan. I highly recommend it to everyone who can attend. It is very spiritually strengthening.

That's funny!

In hindsight, should Jesus have called a lawyer?

Lay off the lawyer jokes or I'll sue you.
I had a law practice for 35 years but I don't think I, or anyone else, could have done anything for Our Lord when it was part of God's plan from the start. Interesting concept if only the Romans had an adversarial judicial system at the time.

Had I been his counsel, I would have recommended a "Not Guilty" plea instead of His "nolo contendre".

It appears to me that a concerted effort has been made to make certain that anyone visiting this website knows that OLTIV, Inc. is not affiliated with any other sites. A few well-placed boiler plate disclaimers is all it is.

Fair Use provisions are very protective of NFP's who are engaged in educational pursuits or satirical commentary. No markets being destroyed here.

Like I said earlier, keep up the good work.

P.S. Who do I make the bill out to?

I needed that lift today. I am so happy for all of the good news on this website. It has become one of my favorite places to check in on when I get the time. Whatever happened to the medals? Did the man get both of them? I bet it was a real moment he will never forget.

The man got both of them and uses them with the sick. Isn't it neat how God works?

While waiting for Mass to start this morning I was reading some of the messages Our Lady had given in Rome City and I felt an almost overwhelming sense of urgency for this place. I can only imagine the weight that goes with this place given all that has transpired and all that is yet to come. The owners of this property need our prayers and support. Maybe OLTIV is in need of support. I don't know. This is definitely out of character for me so it is quite alarming to feel this way. I cannot explain it other than I just felt a sense of extreme urgency.

I don't think this is something for the Church to do. It is something that the lay people need to protect and make happen. I think that is what OLTIV is doing and this website has given us all an outlet to learn and share things that would never have been known without it.

Thank you to the owners and OLTIV for all your efforts. I will pray for an answer as to how I can be the most help.

Inspiring story!

It's too bad the new legal disclaimers have to muddy up such a nice site. I am going to assume this is necessary because of those insipid copyrights on the Our Lady of America materials. Horse Doodle!! Get rid of them and open the doors to all the information.

I don't see any of this language on Michael Brown's site or any other site that has ever published the messages (whole or in part). This site has done as much or more than anything else in the past few months to help me and others grow in our love and devotion for this cause. The video presentation has been very useful in helping me to explain this cause to those in my prayer chain. It is beautiful.

I wish everyone would just drop their copyrights and need-to-know tactics and just get on with Our Lady's wishes. If it wasn't for this forum, we would know almost nothing of any of the supporting background of these events (which is nothing less than gloriuous).

I didn't see in any of the messages where Our Lady was putting this on any one person's shoulders as many have alluded to on this blog in the past. Tell The Bishops! We are all responsible for this if it is ever to be accepted and made a part of our culture.

Let's get on with the real work that needs to be done.

Hooray for everyone involved with helping in Our Lady's causes. Wherever you are.

Just keep praying everybody and try to keep setting a good example for this effort. It will just take more time and effort. It will all be worth it.

Please continue to pray the Rosary, also.

Our Lady is asking for more rosaries daily.

Also please consder contacting your diocesan Bishop to prepare him for hopefully mention of OLOA at the June conference. If no one does intend to mention it, if enough bishops are aware of it, and of the interest we all have your Bishop may be the one to put it on the agenda!!

God bless all of us,
Have a Holy Lent and Holy Easter!
