The Gift of Adoration
Jesus gave to His Eternal Father all honor and glory.
Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit to help us follow in His steps to also give all honor and glory to His Eternal Father.
When we come to Jesus in adoration, we bring much honor and glory to God, His Eternal Father, our Eternal Father, by allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us and transform us into becoming more and more like Jesus Himself.

Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, why is it that you will reveal yourself to us and not to the world?” Jesus answered:
“Anyone who loves me will be true to my word, and my Father will love him; we will come to him and make our dwelling place with him. He who does not love me does not keep my words. Yet the word you hear is not mine; it comes from the Father who sent me. This much have I told you while I was still with you; the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name, will instruct you in everything, and remind you of all that I told you. 'Peace' is my farewell to you, my peace is my gift to you; I do not give it to you as the world gives peace. Do not be distressed or fearful. You have heard me say, 'I go away for a while, and I come back to you.' If you truly loved me you would rejoice to have me go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. I tell you this now, before it takes place, so that when it takes place you may believe. I shall not go on speaking to you longer; the Prince of this world is at hand. He has no hold on me, but the world must know that I love the Father and do as the Father has commanded me.”
(John 14:1-31)

The power of Adoration is tremendous. So many times, as reported in people's own comments here and elsewhere, the Holy Spirit comes to us while we are in Adoration and bringing ourselves closer to God The Father through His Son Jesus. That is ultimately what Our Lady is continually calling us towards...her Son who will in turn direct us through His messages, from God The Father to God The Father Himself.
This was an excellent summation and Gospel passage today. Now, I have to go shovel snow. Please pray for us today because we got over 2 feet of snow.
I noticed the new slideshow presentation and I think it is beautiful. I believe Our Lady would definitely approve.
It covers the basics of OLOA quite well and is going to be helpful to me when I try to tell others about the messages. Thank you for all your efforts on behalf of Our Lady of America.
I love the new slideshow presentation. Very nicely done. I am sending it to everyone I know.
Thank you. I cannot wait for Springtime when I can drive to Rome City for a visit.
I was making my twice/month drive across Indiana this week and I promised my wife I would drive by Rome City (just 15 minutes or so off the tollway) and take a few pictures for her. It was disturbingly cold this week, so I wanted to be as quick about it as possible.
When I got there, it was a sunny afternoon and everything was shut down. I drove through the snow to the front of the building and got out to take some pictures. I snapped off about a dozen or so shots and got back in the car to head home when I realized I never felt the least bit cold even though it was -10 windchill and the wind was blowing pretty good.
When I got home that night, I showed my wife the pictures and she kept saying "what's this and this and this"? There were all sorts of images around the building that looked like nuns kneeling in prayer and a couple that showed an image like the one previously posted on this website where an image was dropping out of the sun in the middle of them.
I have never been to a pilgrimage site or even read much about these things until this past Fall when I first learned about Our Lady of America and we were excited because this was a place that was so close to where we live and we would not need to travel by plane to go see it. This is amazing.
I will send copies of these photos to the address in Rome City and I will be sharing them with our pastor this weekend. Thanks for everything.
I don't doubt for a minute that there are the souls of nuns all about this property because of all the sacrifices they made over the years on behalf of the many sick and infirm who they cared for. Many of these nuns died as a result of contact with these sick people. I believe you can actually feel them when you are there.
There is a cemetary on the property with nearly 40 graves of nuns who died while in service there...many died from flu and tuberculosis that they contracted from their patients.
As a "local" I have heard the stories from my aunts and uncles of the many great things that had happened here over the years. It was a very sad day for us all when the Precious Blood Sisters sold the place to The Way who was nothing more than a cult who believed that Jesus was NOT the Son of God and worked very hard to teach its members that Catholics were evil.
I am happy this place is back on the right path and maybe this time it will remain Catholic. I have met the owners on several occassions and I know they are trying very hard to do what is right for this place.
This is so much like Lourdes where they said there had been attempts by the evil one to discredit the apparitions and destroy the faith in Our Lady of Lourdes. I am certain Our Lady has sent angels to look over this place and our entire country, but we need to let them into our lives. We cannot let the evil one discredit Our Lady of America.
Thank you so much for the video presentation of Our Lady of America. It is lovely and very moving.
I really like the new presentation on OLOA and I go to the same website where this photo of the monstrance is from during my lunch hour at work.
We had a meeting last night with our church rosary group and we decided we will be making the trip to Rome City for a retreat this year.
Is it permissible for one of our parish priests to come along to help lead the retreat?
This is an exceptional website. Thank you for all of the great information. The video presentations are excellent!
I wrote in a few weeks back and mentioned thta my husband was following things on here and he asked to go to church with me for the first time in many, many years.
Well, now he is talking with my pastor about RCIA classes. God is good. I'm leaving it all up to him, but I'll be happy to go to the classes with him and hold his hand as proudly as can be when he is baptized.
Thank you Blessed Mother for bringing my husband along so gracefully. I never asked him to do anything...he just brought it all up himself. I am certain it was because of all of the fine stories and the information he has read on this website and the countless others he goes to every day now.
I am SSOOOO HAPPY. Thank you all.
Peace be with you Glenda. Our Lady is so good. This is her message. There will be greater miracles than those granted in Lourdes and Fatima, the United States in particular, if we would do as she desires. "I do not promise miracles of the body, but of the soul". What your husband experienced was a miracle of the soul. Praise be Jesus for the miracles have begun.
Glenda J-
this is exceptionally good news. I am happy for you and your husband. This is how it will go at places like this that are supportive of Our Lady's wishes. As the previous comment said, "I do not promise miracles of the body, but of the soul". What your husband experienced was a miracle of the soul.
There are many more souls out there in need of miracles like this and we can all do something to help effect a change in them. If we simply set a good example and mirror Christ's image by choosing to live by God's commands and natural laws. Those around us are keenly aware of our behavior (as was your husband) and when we keep a steady course and keep to God's plan, it becomes infectious and others want it for themselves too. The best part is that they CHOOSE it for themselves rather than being FORCED to do it. When this happens, you have someone who commits themselves fully to their choice.
I compare it to someone who is at the edge of the dancefloor and keeps rejecting the invitations to dance with the rest of the guests until they make the decision to try it. Once they do, you can't get them off the dancefloor and they are just as happy and content as can be.
