Mystical City of God Part II
Recently I visited The National Shrine of The Immaculate Conception in Washington D.C. This is the site Our Lady of America is to be honored by “her Son Bishops of The United States.” The Shrine hosts many Nations that honor her as She appeared to them in the time of their need. The Shrine has yet to honor her as “Our Lady of America”. We pray God’s will be done.
As I walked thru the National Shrine, I happened on a bust of a Bishop being honored for his work in supporting the National Shrine. It is my understanding that along with other fund raising activities, in his final years, he sent a large portion of his family’s fortune to the shrine thus saving it from a financial crisis. The name inscribed on that bust was Archbishop John Francis Noll, Archbishop of Fort Wayne.
Again we ask the question, how do we discern Gods purpose for Rome City and Sylvan Springs? Does history give us some indication of Gods Will? Has this site been linked and is it to continue to serve Gods purpose of Redemption?
One of the most beautiful and treasured mysteries that Jesus reveals in The Mystical City of God; Volume III page 765- “ Just as I have told you that he who knows ME knows also my FATHER – so I now tell you that he who knows my MOTHER knows ME.
Five years ago I learned some of the story of Sister Mildred Neuzil and researched the photos and phenomena that had been shared by recent visitors to this facility. I spoke with several people who credited their own spiritual conversions or strengthenings to their experiences at this place in Rome City and the direct influence of Our Lady. Fully aware of The Mystical City of God and its intimate connection to Rome City I began to understand the events that were occurring there were, in my estimation, of Biblical Proportion. Have we entered the period of the Great Enlightenment and are we just witnessing the dawn’s early rays? Are we going to be prepared for high noon?
From my chair, Sylvan Springs is in part Gods answer to the third Secret of Fatima. It is a port hole of Gods mercy and grace for the glory of the Father and the salvation of souls. It appears that Our Lord is very protective of this site, not having wanted a large influx of people up until this time. The property had to first be returned, after a long period of non-christian possession, to the hands of a good Catholic man who would, unwittingly, undertake this dubious task for what is evidently Our Lady’s mission. The seeds of this tree that were sown in 1956 needed to take firm root and it appears that now this tree is beginning to bloom with an overabundance of blossoms. We need to nourish it and protect it with all our hearts and prayers. Its branches are now strong enough to hold us all.
Sister Mildred reported Our Lady as saying “that the miracles granted will be greater than that of Fatima, not so much physical healings but healings of the soul.” These are the fruits of which I spoke earlier. Father Solanus Casey expressed before he died “I wish I could have lived long enough to see the conversion of the world.” Did Father Solanus indicate that Our Lord was preparing, on a grand scale, worldwide conversion similar to that of the 1532 Guadalupe conversion of Mexico?, and if so is there a role to be played by Sylvan Springs?
The Father Solanus Knights of Columbus involvement in Sylvan Springs, has to do with publications emanating out of Agreda Spain and their link to three Fort Wayne Bishops with Rome City and the Mystical City of God. The Mystical City of God is a metaphor describing Our Lady “for all intent and purpose when Christ was in her womb, She was his dwelling place, She was this Mystical City, The City in which God resided”
The first administrator of Kneipp Springs from the Sisters of The Precious Blood was Sister M. Agreda. It appears that this gifted sister of the same order of Sister Mildred, had read the Mystical City of God in German and adopted the Venerable Mary of Agredas’ name sake for her religious name.
The import of Our Lords use of which is now called Sylvan Springs, in His mission of Salvation exceeds all our understanding. Sylvan Springs appears to be a place that has been supported by many good religious men and women thru the 19th and 20th century.
Six months prior to Bishop Alerding signing his imprimatur, I quote from a letter from Bishop H.J. Alerding to Sister M. Agreda of the Sisters of the Precious Blood. February 26, 1912 “I am very glad to learn from you that your Sanitarium is prospering. This fact proves that those who were originally in favor of enlarging the building (Fr. John Noll) were correct in their estimate of the future usefulness of the institution. I can assure you that I am grateful for the very kind remembrance on the part of the good sisters in my behalf, and I feel that whatever success has been attained is greatly due to special help from above in response to these prayers. With every good wish and blessing so that the usefulness of the sanitarium may extend farther and farther. I remain Devotedly yours in Christ + H.J. Alerding Bishop of Fort Wayne, Rome City Indiana.”
The Father Solanus Knights have presented their Holy Shroud of Turin replica at the Springs with great success and it encourages us to continue with our goal of placing in every Country in the World a replica exhibit of The Holy Shroud of Turin. As past Grand Knight of The Father Solanus Knights of Columbus Council 11276 I have complete confidence in the goodness that has come from which is now called Sylvan Springs.
Father James Mary Keane, OSM posed this question: “Strangers might well inquire: Why are Mary of A’greda’s four great volumes entitled “The City of God”? St. Louis de Monfort gives a perfect answer: “The city which men shall find at the end of the world to convert themselves in, and to satisfy the hunger they have for justice, is the most Holy Virgin, who is called by the Holy Ghost the City of God”. May Our Lord Jesus Christ and Our Blessed Mother Mary help us to discern for the Glory of The Father and the salvation of souls.
I appeal to all of you who visit this web site and who are able to visit Sylvan Springs to please help shoulder the enormous expense in gratitude for this beautiful gift God has given to humanity.

The claim that Our Lady promised tremendous miracles on the condition that a statue of the so-called lady of America be placed in the National Shrine is very out of character for her. The Blessed Virgin is not one to try to coerce people by threatening to withhold graces or miracles unless she gets what she demands. Such coercive tactics suggest a manipulative character and not the simplicity and sincerity of Our Blessed Mother. This is not the Mother I have come to know and love through her past and genuine present apparitions. The miracles that accompany Our Lady are witnessed by thousands of people at the same without any frivous preconditions such as having a statue prominently place anywhere. Get to know your Blessed Mother good people and you will see the unworthy character of the so-called lady America.
The alleged apparitions in Indiana make a mockery of the true apparitions of our Blessed Mother. They are an attempt to mimic the holy events that have blessed our world when the Queen of Heaven graciously condescendeds to appear to her children. The false apparitions in Indiana are a crude attempt to mock the true apparitions and deceive the faithful. The medals and statues that have been made in accordance with Our Lady's true apparitions are mimicked and mocked with that horrid looking statue and the ridiculous image of the so-called lady of America. It is a mockery to suggest that such outrageous images represent the Mother of God. And it is insulting to suggest that the faithful could ever accept such frauds for the authentic. It is a mockery of Our Lady's genuine communications to her children to suggest that vain requests to have her likeness as the so-called lady of America prominently displayed in the Capitol of this country. And to it is contemptible to suggest that Our Lady would use coercion by threatening to withhold "miracles greater than those at Fatima" if she doesn't get what she wants. These are all out of character for our Holy Mother.
The children of Mary know their Mother, and will not be fooled by imposters. Any imitations can only be superficial. They miss by a wide mark the sanctity of the Spouse of the Holy Spirit. It is that sanctity that identifies our Blessed Mother. The children of Mary are not fooled for her most characteristic features are her holiness and purity, and such qualities cannot be forged.
God bless you and dispel all deceptions from you!
You have just made it all the more reason why people would want to go there. Your scary. Chill out. I don't think I or anyone who believes in this is going to hell. What's wrong with you? It sounds like your doing the devil's work.
Apparently you have not been reading the many other comments. If you had, you would see that Our Lady and Our Lord are granting miracles of the body and soul already. No one is being coerced here.
If this is what people are receiving and magnifying WITHOUT the image being enshrined, just imagine what may lie ahead for us when it is finally enshrined as She so desires.
You can say what you want. I believe you are on the wrong side of the fence in this situation and I will pray for you.
What an ego this anonymous has!
How is it that anonymous can determine what it is Our Lady actually looks like? It seems She changes her look for whatever audience She is appearing to...and for good reason which She is most aware. She knows our hearts and minds better than we do.
I will accept this image as Our Lady of America just as I accept the image of Our Lady of Grace and Lourdes and Fatima and whatever 100+ images there are around around the world.
Good for all of you who are getting tired of listening to this anonymous who appears to be doing a devils advocate with this.
Why they would spend their time online to continue this is beyond anyones imagination. Usually by now their voice has been heard, and no one is listening!!! Are they not aware of this??
Choose for yourself and test the spirit and see the frutis. God will lead you to the truth and if you are off track He will help to put you back on if you seek His help. Obviously Anonymous is not testing the Spirit because instead of anything new to say they just keep repeating the same thing over and over. Sound familiar to anyone who listens to those who know not what they say??
You do not need a mere mortal to tell you what to think and believe. That is why Jesus left us His Holy Spirt and God gave us our conscience. We can all discern for ourselves.
This was an exceptional article on the Mystical City of God. I was unaware of the Carrico books and of all the connections that ran through Rome City. I am absolutley astonished at how much wisdom there is to gain on this website.
I want to thank everyone for their private stories of healing and faith. It has been very heartwarming for me to read. My husband has always been a bit of a humbug regarding acts of faith and healing but he has been very taken by some of the accounts that have been presented here. He actually said he wanted to go to Church with me this Sunday.
I've got a date! It will be the first time in nearly 20 years for this fellah and I'm going to make sure he takes me to breakfast right afterward so I can show everyone how swell he looks in his coat and tie.
This place holds very fond memories for me when I was growing up. We used to walk around the hill where they had the grotto and the stations of the cross. My dad would lead our family with the rosary as we walked. I can still feel his booming voice as he would recite the mysteries as we walked ahead of our parents. When we were done we would feed the ducks and geese with the bread scraps we would always bring along.
We always stopped in to the candy shop for ice cream or candy and it was always sooooo good.
I was really happy when I learned a Catholic family had purchased the property back from The Way. It was nice to bring my kids over for one of their outdoor rosaries they held by candlelight one summer not long ago. It was beautiful. We walked to the hill holding our candles singing Ave Maria and you could see cars along the highway stopping to wwatch the procession---watch and learn people!
There isn't the candy store anymore but there are still some great memories for me there. I believe the Blessed Mother has been there all along. I hope it becomes all it can be for everyone to strengthen their faith and find what it is they need in the spirit.
This was an excellent commentary of The Mystical City of God by Mr. Fiato. The name goes with the quality of the commentary.
"She has not left the building"
This is all very good.
I will be looking for more updates on the progress of this great event and I will be speaking with friends regarding attending one of these retreats. I am interested in learning all I can -- unlike some of the other people in this commentary area.
This was a wonderful letter from Mr. Fiato linking the connections between the role of this particular diocese and its Bishops with the spreading of this marvelous work. To think that there has been a definite pattern of this facility's involvement in these historic events is just inconceivable. One would think that only the greatest places of our devotion would be the sites of so many of these prominent declarations. WHAT am I saying? Could it be that this place is one of those great places of devotion that is yet to be discovered by our Church? I believe it very well may be.
Thank you for sharing so openly.
